Cassie adjusted the collar of her coat as she stepped out of the coffee shop, the warm aroma of roasted beans still clinging to her. The bustling street was alive with chatter and laughter, but her mind was elsewhere. She sipped her latte, savoring the creamy taste, unaware of the storm brewing overhead. She headed to her and Theseus home, excited and happy after such a long time. They would be celebrating their anniversary. One year since their marriage. In the past few months she had grown heavy and probably resembled a whale, despite Theseus's attempt at flattery. She knew the truth. Both her and Minerva were expecting, making plans to birth two best friends.

The atmosphere at the house was warm and familiar. Her body always seemed to unwind once she stepped inside. It had been difficult to rememver that this was not only the place that Graham died, but also a place of serenity, laughter and peace. Cassie hummed a soft tune as she washed the dishes, the rhythmic clink of porcelain against porcelain filling the kitchen, wanting to have everything ready for their big night. She wiped her hands on a towel and glanced out the window. The sun dipped low, casting a warm golden glow over her small garden.

Suddenly, a loud crash shattered the tranquility. “What the—?” Cassie dropped the towel and rushed  out from the kitchen, her heart racing in her chest.

Grindelwald was standing once again in the middle of her house, lazily looking her enormous book collection.

"Don't be so surprised? I told you we would meet again. I like the change of decoration. It looks more... homely. Not that much as a crime scene." She backed to the side of the door, trying to reach for a knife she always left out and Theseus scolded her for not putting it back in its place after Dahlia had almost cut herself with it. "I am afraid my dear, that this is the end." He casted a spell and the walls almost turned liquid, the fragment of reality starting to break. "It has been an honour to meet you. Please, do not make this too hard for me. I am but an old man."

As his hand raised to cast another spell, Cassie lunged, desperation fueling her actions as she hurled the knife she had been holding. But it clattered harmlessly against his protective barrier, and she barely had time to reassess her next move before a bright flash of light blinded her.

When her vision cleared, Cassie found herself hurtling through time and space—a dizzying cascade of colors and sensations. She gasped, her heart racing. This wasn't just a fight; it was a battle of the very fabric of reality, a nexus of worlds colliding.

With a sudden jolt, she landed on the ground aflame with vibrant energy, surrounded by an overlapping scenery where multiple realms intertwined, warping the laws of nature. Her eyes darted around, taking in the chaotic mix of arching trees, distorted buildings, and flickering stars above—a surreal tapestry of existence unwinding before her.

But there was no time to marvel. Cassie swung into action, quickly conjuring another spell, fueled by a protective instinct she hadn’t fully understood or comprehendedshe possessed. Finally Rowena's curse as she called it was at her advantage, beacuse her spells were so powerfull that the pretend reality around them rippled with power. It struck Grindelwald, forcing him to stagger back, but he retaliated with ruthless efficiency, unleashing a torrent of dark magic that surged toward her.

One spell after another, their energies clashed like titans, each incantation echoing in the storm of their fight. Both breathed heavily, each refusing to yield. Cassie felt the exhausting toll of the encounter wear on her; bruises blossomed on her skin as his curses struck true. She stumbled, feeling the bitter taste of blood in her mouth.

Eventually Cass found herself laying on her back on the floor and she is quickly losing blood after being hit by a particularlystrong curses, already feeling her body bruising left and right. And fearing for the sake of her baby she does the unthinkable, draws her gun, the one she had since her days in the Army, and shoots Grindelwald in the heart. She hadn't used that gun in over a decade and Muggle inheritance was the end of the most powerful dark wizard in the history of magic. The moment she drew the gun, the moment she pressed the trigger, she didn't know if her reckless plan would work.

Time seemed to freeze as the echo of the gunshot reverberated through the chaotic landscape. Grindwald's eyes widened in disbelief before his body crumpled to the ground, the magical energy that once thrummed around him dissipating into the air like a fading dream. Cassie, gasping for breath, felt a surge of adrenaline mixed with terror as she scrambled to her feet, clutching her abdomen protectively. In that moment, the overlapping scenery began to shimmer and warp, a sign that the fabric of reality was shifting.

The wounds on her body throbbed, but the thought of her baby fueled her determination. With newfound strength, she channeled her remaining magic, weaving it into a protective barrier around herself. As the world around her fractured and reformed, Cassie glimpsed familiar faces from her past—her friends, her parents, Theseus, guiding her through the chaos. They reached out, their voices a comforting chorus urging her to move forward. With one last look at the defeated Grindelwald, Cassie turned and leapt into the portal that opened before her. Emerging on the other side, she found herself back in her kitchen,  Everything felt surreal and almost unreal. The pain was still present, but it was overshadowed by a profound sense of relief. She placed a hand protectively over her belly, trying to calm herself down.

It took about twenty minutes before Theseus came hurling through the door. "Love, you will never guess what happened?" His expression immediately shifted from excited to horror and panic as he took in her disheveled shape, the bruises and the dried blood. "It was you, wasn't it? Of course you would have killed him with a gun. I should have imagined it was you. Let's take you to the hospital, we need to check into our situation and you missy need to start talking."

"But the dinner..."

"We can eat later. This is more important." He lightly kissed the crown of her head before he lifted her up and headed to the hospital. Both of their hearts racing with anxiety and dread.
