At the City of K'Anlest...
"Run, Empress!"
"We cannot allow those worthless demons to take you!"
Skrull and Maxwell shouted as they escort the most important person in Ribora, Cressida.
"Cressida!" Bulls called her as they ran through the streets of Ribora's western city, K'Anlest. "Run faster!"
He leaned his head on the side, gently gazing at her. Seeing her exhaustedly taking steps, Bulls made a sudden pause and then bent down the ground.
"What are you... doing?" Cressida asked as she catches after her breaths.
"I'll carry you on my back." Bulls tilted his head back to face her. "Hop on."
"Are you... crazy? Really? In this– woah!" Cressida held on Bulls' shoulders tightly as he lifted her on his back. "You better not trip our legs onto something! I won't be able to catch us."
"Okay! Hang on!" Bulls adjusted Cressida on her back before he went back on their run, exactly on the time when the Knights escorting them caught up.
"Mr. Knights, where should we go?" Bulls asked.
"At the Capital City!" Maxwell replied.
"Just run straight, follow the highway!" Skurll added.
"But we cannot reach it before the demons catches up on us." Maxwell tapped his helmet before he continued talking. "We can use the subway's emergency railway for the president."
"Have you asked for an authorization?" Skurll asked.
"I just did. We're allowed by Commander Wardrake." Maxwell tapped his arm brace, transforming into a hammer.
Skurll did the same, "Okay, we should take the Transonic Subway instead!"
Maxwell and Skurll, overran Bulls and smashed the debris on their way.
"Hey! Haiban outsider, follow us! We know a quicker way to the Capital City!" Skurll led them on a stairs leading deep down the ground. The lights were turning on and off, cracks on the wall were also damaged but the staircase is still safe to be passed by.
"Cressida."
"What is it?" Cressida asked as Bulls ran down.
"About what you said earlier." Bulls adjusted her before talking once more. "You can't catch us when we fall. It just made me realize something. I remembered that you were once able to lift me up with your psychokenesis, what happened?"
"I don't actually know." Cressida tightened her grip on Bulls' shoulder. "You know what? That makes me annoyed, a lot! Because you are the only person I can't manipulate!" She began pinching Bulls' back, hardly with all of her nails.
"Cressida! It hurts! Ahhhhh!!" Bulls exclaimed, trying to endure her piercing nails.
"Stop making noises!" Skurll and Maxwell excavated at them.
"Haha! That suits you." Cressida teased him.
"How cruel." Bulls whispered. "What did I do to deserve such treatment?"
