003. STAY SAFE WHILE I'M GONE

But soon Lori had separated them and made the two sit away from each other, where Carl was to the right of her while Katniss was to the left, skinning the squirrels and putting them into a pot of water that was over a flame, Amy and Andrea came walking up holding a ton of fish "oh, baby. Will you look at that? Hey, check it out." Morales said, as he laughed, Andrea walked up to him and handed him the fish, Lori clapped "lades..because of you and Katniss my children will eat tonight. Thank you." Morales told them "thank Dale. It's his canoe and gear." Andrea shared "mom, look, look at all the fish." Carl shared, as Morales swung it in her direction "thank you." Lori said, as Carol chuckled "whoa." Carl said "yeah, whoa. Where did you two learn to do that?" Lori asked.

"Our dad." Amy told them "can you teach me how to do that?" Carl asked "sure. I'll teach you all about nail knots and stuff." Amy shared, looking to Lori "if that's okay." she told her "you won't catch me arguing." Lori told her, as she turned looking at Katniss who threw another one of the squirrels into the pot, Dale came walking up "hey, Dale. When's the last time you oiled those line reels? They are a disgrace." Andrea shared "I, uh..I don't want to alarm anyone," Dale said, as Katniss turned and looked at him along with everyone else, as Shane got up from the RV steps and walked over to him "but we may have a bit of a problem." Dale shared, turning around and pointing up the mountain, they all looked seeing Jim up there digging.

They all then headed up there, as Katniss walked with Carl and Sophia, Jim didn't even acknowledge them as he continued digging "hey, Jim." Shane said, as Jim continued digging "Jim, why don't you hold up, all right? Just give me a second here, please." Shane told him "what do you want?" Jim asked, as he stopped digging "we're all just a little concerned man, that's all." Shane shared "Dale says you've been out here for hours." Morales told him "so?" Jim asked "so why are you digging? What you heading to China, Jim?" Shane asked "doesn't matter? I'm not hurting anyone." Jim shared, as he went back to digging.

"Yeah, except maybe yourself. It's a hundred degrees today. You can't keep this up." Dale shared "sure I can. Watch me." Jim told him, as Lori stepped forward "Jim, they're not gonna say it so I will. You're scaring people." she told him, as Jim stopped digging "you're scaring my son, Carol's daughter and even Katniss." Lori shared, as Jim looked to the three of them as Carol stood behind them "they've got nothing to be scared of." Jim said, breathing heavy as he looked at them all "I mean, what the hell, people? I'm out here by myself. Why don't you all just go and leave me the hell alone?" he asked, continuing to dig.

"We think that you need to take a break, okay?" Shane asked, stepping toward's him "why don't you go and get yourself in the shade? Some food maybe. I'll tell you what...maybe in a little bit I'll come out here. I'll help you myself. Jim, just tell me what it's about. Why don't you just go ahead and give me that shovel?" Shane asked, as Jim slammed the shovel into the ground looking at him "or what?" he asked "there is no or what. I'm asking you. I'm coming to you and I'm asking you, please. I don't want to have to take it from you." Shane shared.

"And if I don't, then what? Then you're gonna beat my face in like Ed Peletier, aren't you? Yall seen his face, huh? What's left of it." Jim shared, looking at Shane "see, now that's what happens when someone crosses you." he shared, starting to dig again "that was different, Jim." Shane told him "you weren't there. Ed was out of control. He was hurting his wife." Amy shared, as Jim stuck the shovel in the ground again "that is their marriage. That is not his." he shared, pointing at Shane, Carol had put her arms around Sophia, Katniss stepped closer to Carl.

"He's not judge and jury. Who voted you king boss, huh?" Jim asked "Ji, I'm not here to argue with you, all right?" Shane asked, stepping toward's him "just give me the shovel, okay?" he asked, as Jim held it away from him "no, no, no." he told him, and as he did, Carol turned to Katniss and Carl "come on. Come on." she told them, motioning to her, the two walked over to her, as they began walking back down the hill.
