021. TAKE CARE OF HER

Chapter twenty one

"Take care of her."

Having been left there, Katniss was sitting there with her hair down and her legs pulled into her chest, having not told him anything about where the prison was or her family, where she had no idea what was gonna happen to her, Glenn or Maggie, she still felt the feeling of that man's hand running through her hair and it made her feel sick, not safe, as the door opened, Katniss looked to it seeing the man in the backwards hat who had taken her knife, he walked over to her "come on." he said, leaning down, he grabbed her and began dragging her out of there and down the dark hallway, and outside, having been told to take her to the governor while Maggie and Glenn were told to be executed, gunshots could be heard as he picked her up and started running.

Meanwhile, Rick, Daryl, Oscar and the woman they had came with had grabbed Maggie and Glenn as they were running the opposite way on the street, heading into a building, the woman shut the doors behind them, not staying with them "ain't no way out back here." Daryl shared "Rick, how did you find us?" Maggie asked "how bad are you hurt?" Rick asked Glenn "I'll be all right. It's Katniss I'm worried about." Glenn shared "where's that women?" Maggie asked "she was right behind us." Rick shared, moving the blanket and crouching down as he looked out the window.

"Maybe she was spotted." Oscar told them "want me to go look for her?" Daryl asked "no. One of us has to get them out of here while the other finds Katniss. That woman's on her own." Rick shared, as Maggie put a sweatshirt around Glenn "Daryl, this was Merle. It was. He did this." Glenn shared "you saw him?" Rick asked "face to face. He threw a walker at me. He was gonna execute us. Didn't say anything about what they were gonna do with Katniss though." Glenn shared "so..so my brother's this governor?" Daryl asked "no, he's somebody else. Your brother's his lieutenant or something." Maggie shared.

"Does he know I'm still with you?" Daryl asked "Katniss told him before he attacked and brought us here." Glenn shared, as he looked to Rick "Rick, I'm sorry. We told him where the prison was. We couldn't hold out." Glenn shared "don't. No need to apologize." Rick told him, patting him on the leg as he moved back to look out the window "they're gonna be looking for us." Maggie shared "we have to get back." Rick shared, walking back to Glenn "can you walk? We got a car a few miles out." he shared "I'm good." Glenn told him "all right." Rick said, as him and Maggie helped him up.

"Hey, if Merle's around he wouldn't let anything bad happen to Katniss, I've gotta find him!" Daryl voiced "look at what he did! Look, we gotta..we gotta get them out of here now." Rick shared "maybe I can talk to him. Maybe I can work something out." Daryl shared "no, no, no. You're not thinking straight. Look, no matter what they say, they're hurt. Glenn can barely walk. How are we gonna make it out if we get overrun by walkers and this governor catches up to us? I need you to look out of for them while I go find her. Are you with me?" Rick asked, as Daryl nodded "yeah." he told him.

Meanwhile, Katniss had been taken off the street and put into another room, having had a bag put over her head, her hands and feet had been tied together as she sat there waiting there all alone, she could hear the gunfire in the distance.

Back with the others, they all got ready to leave, as Daryl pulled a smoke bomb out of the bag "on three. Stay tight. One, two, three." he said, opening the door, Daryl through the smoke bomb out and then another "let's go!" Rick voiced, as they all headed out, as gunfire began to be fired at them, they fired back "behind you!" Daryl voiced, shooting "go! Get cover!" Rick voiced, as they ran into an alcove "how many?" Rick asked "I didn't see!" Oscar voiced "doesn't matter. There's gonna be more of em. We need to move." Daryl shared, as they reloaded.
