011. GROUP MEMBERS GONE MISSING

Chapter Eleven

"Group members gone missing."

Still standing there, Rick brought down his gun as Carol's sobs could be heard, Daryl pulled her off the ground and turned her around "don't look. Don't look." he told her, going to send her away from it, Carol shoved him off of her, as she turned running off, Beth's sobs were the only one's then heard, where she went walking past them all and over to the bodies "wait, wait." Rick tried to tell her, but Beth shoved him off as she went over to a women's body, flipping the man off of her "ma." she said, kneeling down and flipping the women over, the walker growled and grabbed her, as Beth screamed.

As Katniss dropped her gun, she bent down and pulled her knife out of her boot where as Shane and Rick were trying to pull Beth free, Glenn was keeping the walker back, as Katniss ran up, she fell down stabbing the walker in the head, as they all were breathing heavy, Katniss pulled the knife out, Maggie, Hershel, Beth and Patrica began to leave as Glenn followed them so did Shane as Rick ran after them.

Katniss turned looking at Sophia, she pushed herself up off the ground and began walking off "Katniss." Andrea told her, reaching for her arm, Katniss pulled it away from her as she continued walking off.

She had headed out into the swamp and as she did, she came across these red and blue flowers as she walked over, cutting them with her knife, she began collecting them and when she did, tears started falling down her face as she turned throwing them on the floor "ah!" she screamed, putting her hands on her head, she sat down on the ground.

Where she had been sitting there for awhile in silence, as she had stopped crying, she looked at the flowers on the ground, as she moved over and started collecting them, she stood up and began walking back the way she came.

Making it back it was time for the service, as Katniss stood with them all except for Carol seeing as she wouldn't come for the service, as Katniss walked over to Sophia's grave, she crouched down, putting the flowers around it, as she then stood back up and walked off along with everyone else.

Later Rick and Glenn had gone out to get Hershel and Katniss's dad was up at camp by himself, in which Katniss decided to stay with Carl in the house, where when night came Patricia and Carol had told them all it was time for dinner, as Katniss and Carl walked into the dining room, T Dog was already sitting there as Dale was putting out napkins, Carl grabbed the water and began pouring glasses as Andrea and Shane walked in "they should've been back by now." Andrea shared "yeah. They just got hold up somewhere. We'll..we'll head out first thing in the morning." Shane shared, as they all sat down, Patricia put a bowl of string beans down next to Shane "thank you." Shane told her.

"Your welcome." Patricia said, as Carol walked in with the rolls handing them to Andrea "thanks." Andrea told her "Carl, I want you to keep your head up, okay. Your old man, he's the toughest son of a.." Shane was saying "no cussing in the house." Patricia told him "sorry." Shane said, as Maggie came in sitting down, as Jimmy stood there, Carol walked out of the dining room "Lori, dinner." she said "she's not in there." Maggie told her "where is she?" Dale asked, as Maggie looked to them with wide eyes, the silence made it clear nobody had seen her "Carl, when was the last time you saw your mom?" Shane asked.

"This afternoon." Carl told him "she was worried about Rick, asked me to look in on Carl." Andrea said "she went after them?" Dale asked "she didn't say that." Andrea shared "nobody panic. Gonna be around here somewhere." Shane shared, as they all stood up walking out of there.

Where Andrea, Carl, Katniss and Dale were all standing at camp, as Shane came walking up to them "she's not at the barn." he told them, as T Dog came walking over "I checked the yards." he told them "where is she?" Carl asked, as Carol came running up "she asked Daryl to go into town. Must've gone herself." she told them, as Carl whimpered "hey." Andrea told him, as Carl turned running off "Carl." Andrea said, as Katniss turned running after him, where as she caught up to them, the sound of a car's engine filled their ears as the two turned seeing a car speed out of there, Katniss turned and hugged Carl and when she did, Carl hugged her back.
