Chapter fourteen

"You will choose her." 

Where as Scarlett and Hershel walked up to Rick so did Glenn "holy shit." Glenn said "you all right?" Rick asked him "yeah." Glenn told him, as Rick looked to the left "Hershel?" he asked, as Hershel nodded, Rick turned to Scarlett, putting his hand on the side of her face, Scarlett nodded 'are you?" she asked him, bringing her hand up to his, Rick nodded "let's nodded "let's head back." Hershel told them, as Rick turned crouching down to Tony, he took his gun and stuck his hand in his pocket taking his extra bullets.

Glenn went over to Dave to take his gun, as Hershel, Rick and Scarlett began walking to the door, Glenn went to follow them, as headlights could be seen "car. Car." Rick told them, as they headed toward's the door "get down." Rick said, as him and Scarlett got down on the left side, Glenn and Hershel were on the right, as they heard an engine stop and car doors open "Dave? Tony? They said over here?" a man asked "yeah." a second man said "I'm telling you, man, I hear shots." a third one said "I saw roamers. Two streets over. Might be more around here." the second one said.

"It's hot. We gotta get out of here." the first one said "Dave! Tony!" the third one called out "shut up, you idiot! You wanna attract em? Just stick close. We're gonna find em." the first one shared, as their shadows could be seen behind the door "dude, he said to stay close." the second one said "Tony." the third one called out, as they seemed to walk off for now.

Glenn moved the curtain and looked out the window and as he did, Rick then stood up and looked out the window, he then crouched back down, he then moved toward's Glenn and Hershel "why won't they leave?" Glenn whispered "would you?" Hershel whispered "we can sit here any longer. Let's head out the back and make a run to the car." Rick whispered "are you crazy?" Scarlett whispered, as gunfire then could be heard, Rick moved toward's Scarlett, standing up he looked out the window "what happened?" the first one asked "roamers, I nailed em." the third one said.

"They disappeared but their car's still there." the second one said "I cleared those buildings. You get this one?" the first one asked "no." the second one said "me neither." the third one said "we're looking for Dave and Tony and no one checks the damn bar?" the first one asked, as Rick crouched back down, aiming his gun at the door, Scarlett had her's ready as well, as footsteps could be heard, Glenn quickly moved and put his back against the door just as it opened "what?" the third one asked "someone pushed it shut. There's someone in here." the second one said to him "yo, is someone in there? Yo, if someone's in there, we don't want no trouble. We're just looking for our friends." he called out.

"What do we do?" the first one asked "bum rush the door?" the third one asked 'no, we don't know how many are there. Just relax." the second one said to him "we don't want any trouble. We're just looking for our friends. If something happened, tell us." he called out, as Scarlett raised her brows looking at Rick, not sure if they should tell them "this place is crawling with corpses. If you can help us not get killed, I'd appreciate it." the second man shared "dude, you're bugging. I'm telling you nobody's in there." the first man said "someone guard the door. If they're in there, they might know where Dave and Tony are." the second one said.

As it sounded like they walked away, Scarlett could see it in Rick's eyes that he was going to tell them as she shook her head, no "they drew on us!" Rick voiced, as the footsteps came back "Dave and Tony in there? They alive?" the second man asked "no." Rick told them "they killed Dave and Tony." the second one said "come on, man, let's go." the third one told him "no. No, I'm not leaving, I'm not telling Jane. I'm not gonna go back and tell them that Dave and Tony got shot by some assholes in a bar." the first man shared.
