083. WE WERE SUPPOSED TO DIE TOGETHER

Chapter eighty three

"We were supposed to die together." 

The next morning, Scarlett was still asleep in bed as Rick woke up and put his boots back on, he sighed as he stood up, he turned looking at Scarlett who rolled over facing away from him, he climbed onto the bed and kissed her on the head, as he turned walking out, he knew he didn't have to check on the twins yet because they were still sleeping, as he heard Judith cough, he walked into her room and saw that she was still asleep, as he walked up and put his hand on her head, he didn't feel a fever.

But when he had left, Scarlett couldn't sleep, she never could on her own, as she got up, the twins started crying as she walked out and into their room, feeding them and changing their diapers, Caroline was laying down in her crib, as Scarlett held Daryl in her arms, the two were no longer crying, as the door to the room opened, Rick walked in "how'd you sleep?" he asked "well once you were beside me. You know I don't like sleeping alone." Scarlett shared, as Rick walked up to her "you can't sleep alone." Rick told her, kissing her on the neck, he looked down at Daryl.

"How'd you sleep?" Scarlett asked him "knowing your beside me. Pretty well." Rick told her, kissing her on the neck again, Scarlett smiled as she put Daryl in his crib "you've been leading this place." Rick shared "we are." Scarlett told him, as she turned to him "ah, I've been at the bridge. Here, it's you. Keeping this place safe, figuring out how to make it better." Rick shared "yeah I doubt that." Scarlett shared, knowing how her and Maggie seemed to be at odds "but the kids aren't sick. Judith has no fever, so it's just a cough. There's nothing to worry about." she added on.

"Well since I've been gone I think we're due for a family fun day." Rick shared "shouldn't you be heading back?" Scarlett asked "oh, I can take the day. And you shouldn't be going out there anymore. Besides, last report things were good. Maggie will be there soon thanks to.." Rick shared "Michonne. Me and Maggie were almost about to fight each other when we spoke." Scarlett shared, as Rick raised his brows "and then me and Daryl did what we did to Justin and I don't exactly think it's gonna help the saviors join our cause." Scarlett shared "well you want me to go?" Rick asked her..

"I don't want to fight people who are supposed to be our family." Scarlett shared "you won't. Because this will work. Even if everyone isn't all in yet. They'll get there. Just like we did." Rick shared, as Scarlett nodded, she stepped around him and walked out of the room, Rick followed after her, he closed the door "thank you." he told her, as Scarlett furrowed her brows, turning to him "for what?" she asked "for everything you've done." Rick shared, walking toward's her "for everything you're doing." he told her, putting his hands on her face "for you." he told her, kissing her, Scarlett kissed him back.

Rick brought his arms down and picked her up, as Scarlett laughed putting her legs around his waste "what are you doing?" she asked him, as Rick walked back toward's their room "I think it's time for another one." he told her "another what?" Scarlett teased him, as Rick kicked the door closed behind them "you know what I'm talking about." he told her, kissing her, Scarlett kissed him back, as Rick walked toward's the bed, the two fell onto it, as they laughed.

After the two headed out of the house, as Rick was pushing Caroline and Daryl in the stroller, Judith was running ahead "I'm gonna get ya! I'm gonna get ya!" Scarlett voiced, chasing after her, she picked her up off the ground and spun her around, as Judith laughed.

They were then playing hide and seek, as Scarlett was holding Caroline and Daryl in her arms, Judith was next to her, as they hid behind a bush, Scarlett saw Rick creeping toward's them as he jumped out "aah!" he voiced, as Judith, Caroline and Daryl laughed, Scarlett smiled, as Rick picked Judith up and tossed her in the air.
