056. IT'S THE ONLY WAY OUT OF HERE

Chapter fifty six

"It's the only way out of here."

The sound of a crash could be heard, as Scarlett stopped and looked behind her "mom, come on!" Carl voiced, Scarlett saw Rick on the ground and the walkers coming right behind him, as she brought her gun up and began shooting them, Rick got up and began running "everyone get back! Get into your houses go!" Rick voiced, as Scarlett shot the walker that was coming right up to him "mom!" Carl voiced "Rick!" Scarlett voiced, as Carl ran up to her "come on!" he voiced, as Scarlett turned taking Judith from him "go!" she voiced, as the two of them began running off, Ron was following after them.

Where soon Michonne came running up to them along with Gabriel, Rick and Deana were right behind them along with all the walkers, as Michonne killed the two walkers on their left, there were two to their right, as Carl and Gabriel killed them, walkers came in front of them, as they all got bunched together, the ones in front of them then began being shot, as they all saw Jesse "come on!" Jesse voiced, as they all ran to her house, getting up the stairs, they headed inside.

Rick and Michonne then carried Deana upstairs as they followed Jesse, Scarlett held Judith in her arms, as Carl stood next to her, Rick came walking down stairs "you two alright?" he asked "yeah." Carl told him, as Rick looked at Scarlett "I'll take her I need you to go look at Deana for me. She got hurt bad." he shared "Rick.." Scarlett told him, as Rick took Judith from her "I promise you everything will be fine." he shared, as Scarlett looked at Carl, she turned heading upstairs, and as she did, her foot slipped and when she did, she remembered how Pete threw her down the stairs, as she shook her head and continued walking up them.

She headed down the hallway and into the room that Michonne was in with Deana "Rick said she was hurt bad?" she asked, walking over "yeah I just finished with the leg. And that seems to be the worst of.." Michonne shared, but as she did, Scarlett noticed the same thing she did, the walker bite on Deana's left side, Deana looked at it then at Scarlett who's eyes were wide "well..shit." Deana said, as Scarlett turned walked up to check her temperature.

Where when she did, she felt the fever already coming on, as she headed downstairs and into the living room, Rick was there but with Judith "where.." she asked him "don't worry I put her in a room upstairs, Carl's with her. They're safe. What happened with Deana?" Rick asked "she's bit. The fevers already setting in. Which we both know means she doesn't have long." Scarlett shared "she knows how it happens right? All of it?" Rick asked, as Jesse walked up to them "yeah, she does." she told them "she's making jokes up there which is a first. Which could just be the fever, I mean it cooks your brain." Scarlett shared.

"But if she knew she was bit she wouldn't have run." Jesse shared "she was in shock. Probably didn't even know it happened. I could tell by the way she looked at it." Scarlett shared "we have enough food to last us a while. They're bound to cluster up by then, move off to one area. When they do I'll try and get to the armory, draw em away." Rick shared "with guns?" Jesse asked "no the flares. The sound and the light will draw them." Scarlett shared "I'll open the gate fire them off, see if I can get em somewhere, somewhere that's not here." Rick shared, as Scarlett shook her head "your not gonna do it on your own." she told him.

"Scarlett.." Rick told her "it's not a discussion." Scarlett told him, looking to Jesse "where's your son?" she asked, as Jesse chuckled "we're doing this again?" she asked, as Scarlett stepped in front of her, making sure the two were eye to eye "well seeing as Ron was following him again today and that we're now trapped in the house of horrors, yes we are doing this again because my message of keeping your son away from mine didn't exactly get across." she shared "they are friends! I know that's seems to be a foreign concept for you!" Jesse voiced, as Scarlett's eyes went wide, Rick reached his hand out "Scar.." he told her.
