Chapter ninety three

"The exact reason I didn't want you to come."

Having gone to alexandria, waves of walkers had been coming up on them and since Scarlett wasn't really one to sleep, she was up and making breakfast for the kids and as she plated their food, footsteps could be heard running down the stairs, as Judith, Daryl, Caroline and Rick all came in to eat, Scarlett was eating her's and when she was done, she kissed all her children on the head before walking out of the house and meeting up with the other's "they keep coming from the direction of the border. Just a constant wave after wave." Aaron shared "this is her." Carol told them "well we've been preparing for something like this. Let's lock it down." Scarlett shared, as they all dispersed, Scarlett then met up with them all at the front gate as she brought up her binocular's and saw the herd of walkers coming towards them.

And by night fall, they all were standing by the gate, stabbing the walkers through it that came to close, where they were still there into the next morning and into the next night where Scarlett swung her axe at one of the walkers, killing it as she kicked it down, where the wave seemed to finally stop.

It was morning when Scarlett walked back into her home and as she headed upstairs and into her room, she saw all the kids in her bed, as she leaned against the doorway watching them all sleep "Scarlett, do you copy?" a man's voice came through her walkie, as Scarlett pulled it out, she turned walking back out of the room, she pressed down on the button "Grimes, I copy." she said, letting go of it as she headed back down the stairs and out the front door.

Having gone up to the windmill, she brought her binoculars up and looked through them out at the next herd of walkers that were coming toward's them, as she headed back down and walked to the front gate, as she looked up at Eugene "how long do we have till this next wave hits us?" she asked "one hour from the north two from the south. Northern waves thicker than fleas on a farm dog. But the southern's more dispersed. By my estimation we'll be fighting to the night again." Eugene shared, as Daryl walked up to Scarlett "yeah, we can't push em too much further." he shared "I know that!" Scarlett voiced.

And when she did, Daryl put his hand on her shoulder and squeezed it, Scarlett shook her head "no." she told him, taking his hand off her shoulder, she noticed a woman with a walker skin walking up "what the hell?" she asked, walking toward's the blockade, Daryl followed her, as the two stood there, the skin walker stood on the other side "the north border. Now." she told them "call off your walkers." Scarlett told her "not us." the woman said "yeah, right." Daryl said "not..us..go to the border, lay down your weapons, and wait." the woman shared "wait for what?" Daryl asked "for her." the woman said, turning and walking off, Scarlett did the same "town meeting now!" she voiced, walking down the street, Daryl followed after her.

As everyone met up in one room, they all were talking, as Scarlett stood in front, the other council members were sitting "listen up!" Scarlett voiced, as everyone stopped talking and looked at her, Scarlett looked at Lydia "is this your mother's doing?" she asked "no. I don't think it is." Lydia shared "why does she want to talk with us?" Daryl asked "you crossed into her land. Again. You have to answer for that." Lydia shared "we don't have to do anything. We could just not go." Aaron shared "that's stupid. We're already under attack enough. And that's just by waves of them. Whether she's sending them or not giving her a reason to send an entire hord that could tear this place down isn't one." Scarlett shared.

"Maybe she's trying to wear us down first." Carol shared, as Eugene stood up "or as I relayed to you at the beginning, at the beginning of this meeting that there's plausible reason to believe that the satelite and fire.." he shared "I don't wanna hear about the damn satelite anymore Eugene!" Margo voiced, as Eugene sat down "my friends died trying to save yours and ended up with their heads on spikes." Margo shared, standing up "the highway men want justice!" she voiced, as the crowd cheered "so all I wanna hear from you is that you're gonna take a dozen of us to meet these freaks at the border and that we're gonna take that lead bitch's head off!" she voiced.
