081. YOU WERE RIGHT, I SHOULDN'T HAVE COME

Chapter eighty one

"You were right, I shouldn't have come."

A year and a half has passed since the end of the war, and Judith was two years old and as well in that time the twin babies a girl and a boy were born, the girl being named Caroline after Carl, and the boy being named Daryl after Daryl like Carl had asked her, they were already one year old now, as Scarlett was on the porch with all of them, as Rick looked at them through the double doors "it was very drippy before." Judith told her, as she was painting "that's okay little duck." told her, as Caroline had her bunny, Daryl was playing with the wooden horse that Judith used.

"It's a..I'm gonna gonna make it into a heart." Judith told her "you can do whatever you want this is all yours." Scarlett told her "it's dripping from the heart." Judith shared "yeah. You know why?" Scarlett asked her "why?" Judith asked "because that's how much we love you and your sister and your brother and your daddy." Scarlett shared, kissing her all over her face, Judith laughed "mommy!" she voiced "all right. All right. Tell me who's in this one. You drew you and Carl in that one who's this?" Scarlett asked her "that's our house. And aunt Maggie. And the king. And all our friends." Judith shared.

"Yeah. I see that. Especially him." Scarlett shared, pointing to the one that's supposed to be Rick, she laughed "who is that grumpy face?" Rick asked, as Judith and Scarlett looked to him "oh I thought it was obvious." Scarlett shared "you get a grumpy, little face." Judith told him "you're doing a grumpy face?" Rick asked "little duck give him the look you showed me." Scarlett told him, as Judith tried to glare at him but it came out more as a scowl, as Scarlett chuckled, Judith then looked back at the painting "and there's going to be his big tummy. And then there's baby sister and baby brother." she shared, as Scarlett laughed again "that's daddy's big tummy." Rick said, as he walked over to them.

They all had gone for a walk outside, as they were walking through a field, Scarlett was holding Judith, Rick was holding Caroline and Daryl, as all these birds flew up into the air, Scarlett pointed up at them, as they all watched them fly away.

Having gone back home, it was time for them to head out, as they were going into DC to find something's to help them out, as Scarlett and Rick were riding on horses down the street, they passed two walkers as they swung back around, Rick had a bate as he swung it into the walkers head, riding off, Scarlett had a sword as she cut the other walkers head off, as she road after him.

They met up with Ezekiel who was also riding a horse and Daryl who was on his motorcycle, a horse drawn cart followed behind them with Enid, Siddiq, Maggie and Cyndie, where other horse riders like Michonne, Gabriel, Carol and Alden and a few others followed them.

Making it to a building, Scarlett and Rick were standing on the side of the doors, as Rick whistled, the walker came out of the shadows of the building and reached toward's him and as it did, Scarlett stabbed her sword through it's head and pulled it out as it's body dropped to the ground, the others waited on the steps, as Scarlett looked between the two doors "all clear for now. Sweep protocol when we get in." she whispered, as Rick opened the door, Scarlett walked in, the others walked up following her.

Leading the way, Maggie was behind her, as Daryl was to her left leading another group, a walker could be heard as they all continued walking but Rick was the one to stop by it and kill it with the axe, he then grabbed a piece of paper as he turned following them all.

Daryl, Rick and Scarlett were walking in the front together as the others followed behind they all looked up at the torn banners of the museum "you've all got your lists. Circle back here when you're done. Be safe." Rick told them, putting his hand on Scarlett's face "you too." she told him, as Daryl looked at Rick "I'll look out for her." he told him, as the two turned walking off to the right with Cyndie, Michonne, Ezekiel, Maggie and Carol.
