Chapter eighty

"The daisies guard you from every harm."

Scarlett was holding Gracie in her arms and feeding her bottle to her "you know, you might just have to come join our family when this is all over." she shared, as Gracie held onto her hand "cause I've got a plan..mama's got a plan. Mama's got a plan." Scarlett whispered to her, as Rick was watching her from the doorway, Scarlett turned putting the bottle on the nightstand, she held Gracie in her arms, she began humming the song she had sang to Carl, as she brought Gracie to her crib, she laid her down, putting her blanket over her, Gracie grabbed her hand.

Scarlett smiled at her, as she turned around, and when she did, she saw Rick "you've got a plan?" Rick asked her, as Scarlett nodded "my own." she told him, as Rick walked toward's her, putting his hands on her face "your plan is my plan." he whispered to her "you don't even know what it is." Scarlett whispered to him "I know." Rick told her, kissing her, Scarlett kissed him back.

Having walked out they met up with Rosita, Daryl, Maggie, Carol and Michonne as they were looking at the map Gregory had brought them from Dwight about Negan and the saviors plan "we'll stick to this road, keep to the trees, we'll get there quicker. Plus, we can keep an eye on the road that way." Daryl shared "yeah, if they're planning anything, we'll see it." Rosita shared "you think we can trust Gregory? What he told us?" Michonne asked.

"I locked him up inside the house. He knew I wouldn't let him walk around free. He knew he was coming back to that. He doesn't believe in anything except himself, and he'd have to believe in the saviors a whole lot to send us into a trap and think it would work out for him." Maggie shared "unless Dwight didn't tell him. That asshole could be setting us up." Daryl shared, as Rick grabbed the map folding it up, Carol turned going after Morgan, and as she did, Scarlett ran over and as she did, the front gates opened, the saviors that were on their side were there.

Where as Henry went to stop Morgan, Scarlett grabbed him and moved him behind her, as she swung her machete up, blocking his stick, she kicked her foot up, sending him to the ground, Henry was holding onto her "they were, uh.." Morgan said, as everyone came walking up 'they were gone..him." Morgan said, getting off the ground and looking at Alden and the others "and they were coming in." Morgan shared "I asked Maggie if we could clear the walkers from the wall. We drew em away so we wouldn't have to worry about em when we rolled out." Alden shared "he did." Maggie said.

As Morgan looked at Henry who was hiding behind Scarlett "let's keep getting ready, everyone." Rick shared, walking up to Morgan "first teams going in twenty." he told them, as Scarlett put her machete away, she turned to Henry "are you okay?" she asked "yeah.." Henry told her, as Scarlett smiled at him, she turned walking off.

Where in twenty, the gates opened, as Daryl, Rosita, Michonne, Carol, Morgan, Ezekiel, Jerry, Jesus, Rick and Scarlett all walked out, as Rick and Scarlett and Rick were holding hands, as they continued walking.

Making it into the woods, Scarlett and Rick were crouched down having their guns at the ready, as the others crouched down beside them, Rosita looked through the binoculars as she handed them to Carol, they saw the saviors handling the dead, as Carol held her hand up, Jesus and the others behind them moved out, they all then shot them down, as Daryl, Rick, Scarlett, Rosita, Carol and Morgan walked out along with the others, they took their weapons, as Scarlett looked to Rick "what do we do if this is a trap?" she whispered "we stick with our plan." Rick whispered, as Scarlett nodded.

"Good people. I found something on our quarry." Ezekiel shared "what is it?" Michonne asked "a list and another map." he shared, as Scarlett and Rick walked up to him "and what appear to be other facts." Ezekiel shared, as Rick took the book "they're lining up saviors on the old mill road. That's where Negan will be." he shared "we have to get to Negan before they figure out what happened here." Carol shared, as Rick pulled up the walkie, he pressed down on the button "Maggie." he said, letting go of it "I'm here." Maggie said, as Rick pressed down on the button "it's time. It was a trap. So we're changing the plan." he shared, letting go of it.
