Chapter forty

"Mama bear."

The next morning, back with Scarlett and Judith, Scarlett was holding her in her arms, as her, Carol and Tyreese were walking to terminus "we're close. But when we get there I..I can't stay. We have no idea who these people are. And I won't put Judith in danger like that." Scarlett shared "she's right. It's probably safer out here then in there." Carol shared, as walkers growled, the three turned around, seeing one of them come out of the woods, and onto the tracks, Scarlett and Carol looked at each other, Carol nodded as she turned walking over and stabbed it in the head, she fell over, as she got back up.

Scarlett noticed all of them in the woods "we've gotta move now!" she whispered, as she turned running in the woods, Carol got up following her along with Tyreese, they turned and crouched down behind a mountain of dirt and watched as the walkers came out of the woods and toward's them, they went to get up but then heard gunfire as they crouched back down, as the walkers turned heading toward's terminus.

They waited until the walkers were gone and the gunfire stopped before getting up and walking back onto the tracks "that gunfire, it could've been from terminus." Tyreese shared "someone was attacking them. Or they were attacking someone." Carol shared "do we even wanna find out?" Tyreese asked "if there bad people, yes." Scarlett shared "there's another track due east it'll get us there. We'll be real careful. We're gonna get answers." Carol told them, as they began heading that way.

The began coming off the tracks, as they found a man in a clearing putting out fireworks, he didn't notice them, as the three walked toward's him, Scarlett took her gun out of her holster "Alex, didn't get it. See, I knew the chick with the sword was bad news. Bitch looked like a weapon with a weapon." the guy said over his radio, and when he said that, all three of them could only think of Michonne, as they walked closer to him, Scarlett was ready to put her gun up against his head "he was always a sloppy ass mother." the women said over the walkie.

As the man then brought the walkie back up "yeah, I told Albert that I want the kids hat after we bleed him out." he said, and when he did, Scarlett's eyes went wide, only knowing one kid with a hat, as she brought her leg up and kicked him in the back, he dropped the radio as he fell over, Carol walked up and grabbed the radio, as Scarlett put her foot on the man's back "that hat belongs to my son." she told him, aiming her gun at him "now where the hell is he?" she asked.

Where Scarlett then stopped off of him, as Tyreese grabbed him, dragging him inside, they tied his hands up and leaned him against the wall "they attacked us. We're just holding them." the man shared "stop lying. You said you were gonna bleed him out I heard you." Scarlett told him "who else do you have do you know their names?" Tyreese asked "we just have the boy and the samurai, that's it. We were just protecting ourselves." the man told her "I'd stop lying to her if you know what's good for you." Carol told him, as she looked into the mans bag finding more fireworks.

"There's a bunch of us out there. In six different directions. There's a lot of gunfire back home. We need to set up are chargers all at the same time to confuse the dead ones away. That's good for you, too." the man shared "no, it isn't. There's a herd headed toward's terminus right now. We don't want to confuse them away. We gonna need there help." Carol shared, putting the bag over her shoulder, she turned to leave "it's a compound. They'll see you coming. If you even make it that far with all the cold bodies heading over." the man shared, as Scarlett turned to Carol "bring them back." she whispered, as Carol nodded "promise." she whispered back, as she turned walking out, Tyreese shut the door.

Sometime had passed, as Scarlett laid Judith down in a box "she got a name?" the man asked her, as Scarlett looked to him "now why the hell would I tell you? Your gonna kill my son and his best friend and whoever else we know that might be in there with them." she shared "so she's your daughter?" the man asked "yes." Scarlett told him "and I'm their friend." Tyreese shared "hmm, I don't have any friends. I mean, I know people. They're just assholes i stay alive with. The other one your friend the women?" the man asked "yes." Scarlett told him.
