067. WHAT'S UP UP UP

Chapter sixty seven

"What's up up up."

They took all their weapons and then lead them out of there and through a shipping container and into a junkyard as the people continued to move around them creating two circles, one surrounding them and another all the way on the outside, Rick and Scarlett looked at each other "are you a collective or does one lead?" a woman asked "this." a woman behind them said, shoving Rick forward, the woman who asked walked toward him "hi. I'm Rick." Rick told her "we own your lives. You wanna buy them back? Have anything?" the woman asked "well, you have one of my people. Gabriel. I wanna see him first. Then we can talk." Rick shared.

As the woman nodded at the one behind Scarlett, she walked off with a man, where they waited there, as the two didn't take long to bring Gabriel back who didn't have his his suit jacket on anymore nor his undershirt and was in a tank top and had an injury on his head "the boat things you took got taken. Saw them, so we took the rest. And we took him." the woman shared "well, then you know we have nothing to buy back our lives with. That's what you'll have soon..nothing. Because me and my people already belong to that group who took those supplies from the boat. They're called the saviors. They own our lives. And if you kill us, you'll be taking something from them. And they will come looking. You only have two options when it comes to the saviors..either they kill you or they own you. But there is a way out. Join us. Join us in fighting them." Rick shared.

As the woman looked him up and down "no." she said, bringing her hand up and spinning it around, the two began bringing Gabriel away, they all then began to move on them, Rosita head butted the one behind her and then punched the other one in the face "Rosita don't!" Aaron voiced, as he got hit in the head with a bow staff, Tara was holding the one she was fighting back, Rick kneed the one who came at him in the face as he threw him down "everybody, stop! Wait!" he voiced, as Scarlett punched the one that came at her in the face and kicked the other back, Michonne threw her's onto the ground, as Tara kneed her's in the chest and threw her down.

"Let us go, or I will kill her!" Gabriel voiced, as they all turned looking at him holding a knife to the woman's neck who had brought him out "away from Tamiel now." the woman said "the saviors, they..they have other places, other communities. They have things..food, weapons, vehicles, fuel. Whatever you want, the saviors have it." Gabriel shared, as the woman held her hand up, all the people backed up "away from Tamiel." the woman said, as Gabriel looked at Scarlett, Scarlett nodded, as Gabriel nodded back, he stepped away from Tamiel and threw the knife down.

"Your words now." the woman told him "if you join us and we beat them together, you can have much of what's theirs. Fighting with us, you'll be rewarded, more than you can imagine." Gabriel shared "I want something now." the woman said "Rick..can do anything. This group? They found me...here, so far from our home. What do you need? Just tell us..we'll get it for you. We'll show you what we can do. Now." Gabriel said, as the woman waved her hand "Tamiel, Brion..show Rick up up up." the woman said, as Tamiel and Brion walked toward's him, as Scarlett grabbed Rick's hand "no." she told him "it's okay." Rick told her, walking off, Scarlett kept her eyes on him as he followed the woman along Tamiel and Brion.

Where Rosita, Michonne, Tara and Aaron were shoved off with Gabriel, Scarlett turned to the group of people standing next to her "where's he going? What's up up up?" she asked, as the woman motioned up to the right, Scarlett looked in that direction and when she did, she saw the woman up there along Tamiel and Brion, and then she saw Rick, where the woman seemed to be talking to him but then she shoved him off "Rick!" Scarlett screamed, running up to the pile of junk and looking through one of the tubes to see if she could see him down there, Rosita, Aaron, Tara, Gabriel and Michonne came running up as well.

As Scarlett looked through the tube, she saw Rick get up "Rick!" she voiced, as Rick turned looking at her, he stepped toward's it, he held his arm out "I'm all right." he told her, turning around, he then backed away from her sight and as he did, she then saw a walker with metal spike poking out of it walk past "Rick!" she voiced, not seeing him only that walker, she could hear him groaning in pain, she then saw him again as he backed into the trash "use the walls!" she voiced, as Rick turned grabbing all the trash, he knocked it over and onto the walker, as he fell down and stood back up, Scarlett noticed his right and leg were bleeding, as he stood up and knocked more garbage down, he then found something to stab the walker in the head with as he began doing so over and over until it was dead.

He then looked up "you believe us now? Just tell us what you want.." he said, panting, as he walked forward, he began climbing up a rope, as Scarlett turned away, walking up to the others, she didn't even turn around to see him up there, as she threw up, Aaron stepped toward's her, moving her hair out of her face "are you okay?" he asked her, as Scarlett nodded.

Where they all were then waiting there, as the woman came walking out with Tamiel and Brion, the one's who were holding all their weapons threw them down on the ground, as they all began disappearing, Scarlett walked in the direction they came from and as she did, Rick came walking out "we have a deal." he told them, as he put his arm around Scarlett, Scarlett hugged him, as Rick kissed her on the head, the two began walking off "I'm gonna fix you up, okay?" Scarlett asked him, her voice breaking, Rick kissed her on the head, having heard her scream his name when he fell.

Waiting by the exit, Rick was holding Scarlett in his arms as they leaned against a car, Gabriel was next to them, as Michonne, Tara, Rosita and Aaron stood nearby, they all were waiting for their supplies "I heard something when I was on watch, from inside the wall. I went into the panty, one of them jumped me. She was angry because she didn't get the supplies from the boat after all the waiting. So they made me pack up everything else. But she said they were at the boat, so I hoped.." Gabriel shared "no. You didn't just hope. You got us here." Rick shared "I was beginning to lose faith. But then I saw you..and you nodded at me. I mean, just the fact that you knew I didn't leave. That you searched and found me." Gabriel shared.

"You've given us no reason not to trust you. You've stepped up, protect alexandria. You came and told me about Spencer, hell you even tried to ask me if I was okay and I just..slammed the door in your face." Scarlett shared, shaking her head "your one of us. We look out for our own." she told him, as Gabriel smiled, he looked up at Rick "and you, seeing these numbers, you seemed so..glad. We will set things right. But things are gonna get very hard before that time. We have to hold on. I will. Thank you." he shared.

As Scarlett looked at Rick's hand "what made you smile?" Gabriel asked, as Rick chuckled "what made you so..confident?" Gabriel asked "someone showed me that enemies can become friends." Rick shared, putting his good hand on Gabriel's shoulder, Gabriel chuckled, as Rick looked down at Scarlett who was inspecting his hand "hey." he told her, as Scarlett looked up at him and as she did, Rick leaned down kissing her, and as he pulled away Tamiel and Brion and a few other's were waiting for them, as Scarlett put Rick's arm around her, they walked up to them "guns. Soon." Tamiel said "soon. Or else." Brion said, as the two walked off with the others.

Gabriel and Rosita were then leaning against the car, Aaron, Michonne and Tara were putting the boxes into the trunk, as Scarlett stood with Rick "we're gonna stitch you and up and then we're gonna find those guns." Scarlett shared "that's right." Rick told her "but where?" Scarlett asked "you know that's never stopped us before." Rick shared, turning to Tara "Tara, you've been out further than any of us. At least you can tell us where not to look." he shared "yeah." Tara said, chuckling "sure thing." she said "let's go already." Rosita said, as Rick looked at Scarlett, he put his arm around her, as they walked to the car.

Making it back home, Scarlett had stitched him up, and helped him get upstairs and change his clothes, as the two then lied down to go to bed, Rick had his arms around "hearing you scream like that. I knew whatever was down there. Whatever they were gonna do to me. I wasn't gonna let it kill me." he whispered to her, kissing her on the neck, Scarlett held onto his hand that was over her stomach.
