A MA Little Surprise- Celia Mae (Monsters Inc.) Pt.2~ A Monster's Day Out

It had been a few weeks since Y/N first tumbled into the monster world, and life had changed in ways he never imagined. Gone were the days of lonely nights spent hiding in a closet, longing for love and attention. Now, he had Celia—his protector, his caregiver, and in many ways, his mother. She had taken him in as her own, giving him the warmth and comfort he had longed for in the human world.

Celia had been incredibly patient with him, showing him around Monstropolis, introducing him to her favourite places, and teaching him about the monster world. She made sure he never felt out of place, even though he was the only human child around.

But as much as Y/N loved being with Celia, there was one thing that made him nervous—the idea of being discovered by other monsters. Celia had explained that while most monsters wouldn't mean him any harm, it was still best to keep his human identity a secret. So, she had come up with a plan—a monster disguise.

Celia spent days crafting the perfect disguise for Y/N. She had gone out of her way to make sure it was just right, something that would let him blend in with the monster children while still letting him feel comfortable. The final result was something Y/N couldn't help but love.

The disguise was a soft, fuzzy bodysuit, coloured in shades of deep blue with patches of purple, reminiscent of her boyfriend Mike's best friend, Sulley. The suit had little horns on top of the head and a tail that wiggled when Y/N moved. His face was framed by fuzzy tufts of fur, and Celia had even added some fake claws to the gloves and shoes.

"You're going to be the cutest little monster ever," Celia had said, grinning from ear to ear as she helped Y/N try on the costume for the first time.

Y/N looked at himself in the mirror, blinking at his reflection. He almost didn't recognize himself. His heart swelled with a mix of pride and excitement.

"I look like a real monster!" he exclaimed, turning around to admire his new form.

Celia chuckled, resting her hands on her hips. "You do, don't you? No one will ever know there's a sweet little human boy under all that fur."

She knelt down, adjusting the suit one last time before standing up and looking at him with a smile. "How about we test it out?"

Y/N's eyes widened. "You mean... go outside?"

"That's right," Celia replied, a playful glint in her eye. "I thought we could go to the park today. I'm sure the other monster children would love to meet you."

Y/N hesitated for a moment, the idea of playing with other kids both exciting and nerve-wracking. He hadn't really played with anyone his age in a long time, and even though Celia had been taking him out more, the thought of interacting with strangers made his stomach flutter with nerves.

"But what if they don't like me?" Y/N asked quietly, glancing up at her.

Celia's expression softened, and she knelt down to his level, resting a hand on his small shoulder. "Sweetie, they'll love you. Just be yourself—well, your monster self—and everything will be fine. Besides, I'll be right there with you the whole time."

Y/N nodded, feeling a bit more reassured. He took a deep breath and smiled up at her. "Okay. Let's go."

The sun shone brightly over Monstropolis as Celia and Y/N made their way through the bustling streets toward the local park. The air was filled with the sounds of monster chatter and laughter, and the city seemed to buzz with life. Celia held Y/N's hand tightly, guiding him through the crowds as they approached the park entrance.

The park itself was a sight to behold. It was massive, filled with towering trees that had eyes and wiggling branches, jungle gyms shaped like monsters, and colourful slides that spiralled around like monster tails. Groups of monster children were already running around, chasing each other and laughing, their vibrant fur and scales shimmering in the sunlight.
