My second book in my imagines collection. With characters from all fandoms, ranging from Satoru Gojo to Violet Baudelaire, and more! (With stories for both male and female readers!)
The summer heat in Brooklyn was nothing compared to the deserts Y/N had navigated during his military days, but today's warmth felt different – peaceful, even. That was until the first shots rang out across Jefferson Square Park.
Y/N's instincts kicked in before his conscious mind could process the situation. His body moved with practised precision, identifying the threat – three men in dark suits, definitely mafia, brandishing handguns at a local shopkeeper who'd likely refused to pay protection money.
"Everyone down!" Y/N's commanding voice carried across the park, causing civilians to drop to the ground. Fifteen years as Britain's most lethal operative hadn't dulled his reflexes. He moved like a shadow, earning his codename "Ghost" with every silent step.

The first gunman never saw him coming. Y/N disarmed him with a swift movement that would have made his old combat instructor proud, turning the weapon on the other assailants. Two sharp cracks split the air, and both remaining gunmen went down clutching their shoulders – Y/N's signature non-lethal takedown.
But they'd gotten shots off too. Y/N felt the familiar sting of bullets grazing his left arm, and one had lodged itself just below his shoulder. Nothing he hadn't dealt with before; he'd removed worse in the field with less-than-ideal tools.
Sirens wailed in the distance, growing closer. Y/N secured the scene, zip-tying the assailants with cables from his pocket (old habits die hard). He was already planning his exit strategy when he heard a familiar voice.
"Y/N? Oh my God, Y/N!"
Sarah Chen, one of Rio's closest friends from New York Presbyterian, jumped out of the first ambulance before it had fully stopped. Her eyes widened at the sight of blood on his arm.
"Don't you dare tell me you were planning to handle this yourself," Sarah said, already reaching for her medical kit.
Y/N removed his mask and gave her his most charming smile. "Would I do that?"
"Yes, you absolutely would. I'm calling Rio."
"Sarah, there's no need to—"
"Already dialling," she said with a smirk that told him she knew exactly what she was doing. "She'd kill me if I didn't."
Within ten minutes, another ambulance arrived, and out stepped Rio Morales – his wife of twelve years, mother of their daughter Maria, and the woman who'd made him want to leave his old life behind. Her dark curls were pulled back in a practical bun, but a few strands had escaped, framing her face in a way that still made his heart skip after all these years.
"¡Idiota!" Rio marched toward him, fury and concern warring in her expression. "What were you thinking?"
"That I couldn't let civilians get hurt," Y/N replied softly, watching her professional demeanour take over as she examined his wounds. "You would have done the same thing, mi amor."
