As requested by Antisuperstar! Male Y/N.
The evening air hung heavy with the scent of rain and gunpowder as Y/N crouched behind a stack of wooden crates, his tactical gear blending seamlessly with the shadows. His earpiece crackled softly with the familiar voice that never failed to make his heart skip a beat.
"Are you in position, handsome?" Ada's smooth, confident tone carried a hint of playfulness despite the gravity of their situation.
Y/N smiled, checking his weapon one last time. "Ready when you are. Though I still think you got the easy job this time."
"Oh? Is that what you think?" He could practically hear her smirk. "Creating a distraction for heavily armed Umbrella security forces is your idea of the hard part?"
"Compared to sneaking into a high-tech lab and stealing experimental virus samples? Absolutely." Y/N peered around the corner, counting the guards patrolling the facility's perimeter. "At least I get to make some noise."
"Just try not to have too much fun without me," Ada purred. "And remember—"
"I know, I know. Keep them focused on the east entrance for exactly seven minutes." Y/N adjusted his tactical vest. "Not my first rodeo with you, Ms. Wong."
"And yet you still manage to surprise me sometimes."
Before Y/N could respond with another quip, Ada's voice turned serious. "Security shift change in thirty seconds. Ready?"
"Born ready." Y/N took a deep breath, double-checking his gear one final time. "Try not to miss me too much while you're playing cat burglar."
"Focus on staying alive, and maybe I'll reward you later," Ada replied, her voice carrying that dangerous edge that always sent shivers down his spine.
"Is that a promise?"
"Time to work, lover boy."
Y/N grinned and pulled out a flash grenade. "Show time."
The next few minutes were a carefully orchestrated chaos. Y/N moved like a ghost between cover points, using precision shots and strategic explosions to draw attention exactly where he wanted it. He'd learned from the best, after all. Ada had taught him that even creating a distraction could be an art form.
Guards shouted and alarms blared as Y/N led them on a merry chase, always staying just visible enough to keep their focus but never letting them get too close. He could picture Ada moving through the facility's western wing like a shadow, graceful and deadly, while he kept their eyes turned east.
"Four minutes," Ada's voice came through his earpiece, slightly breathless. "Having fun?"
Y/N ducked behind a concrete barrier as bullets pinged off the surface. "Oh, you know me. Nothing I love more than being shot at by corporate mercenaries." He popped up to return fire, forcing two guards to scramble for cover. "Though I'd rather be watching you work. That dress looks amazing in action."
"Flirt later. Two guards heading my way."
"On it." Y/N primed another grenade and threw it in a high arc, the explosion drawing attention back to his position. "Consider them distracted."
"My hero," Ada drawled, but he could hear the genuine appreciation beneath her sarcasm.
The next few minutes were intense, with Y/N systematically working his way through his designated path, leaving a trail of unconscious guards and controlled chaos in his wake. He'd learned early in their partnership that Ada preferred non-lethal approaches when possible – it drew less attention in the long run.
