As requested by KevinEmdy2! Male Y/N

Y/N sighed as he finally reached the village on his horse, only carrying with him a bag of clothes and money, a parcel of food, and a few flasks of water. He was a travelling writer- searching the world for inspiration on horseback, carrying as few possessions as necessary.

He had come to this particular village because he heard that not far from it, there was a castle that hosted enchanted beings as well as a hideous beast. It was the perfect inspiration for his next novel.

But now that he was here, he needed to get information- he couldn't just go into a supposedly enchanted castle without the proper preparation of the mind. And what better place to do that than the library? After asking around, Y/N finally located it on the outskirts of the village and dismounted his horse.

He smiled as he walked inside; it was less busy than he would've hoped, but there were a fair few villagers around. After surveying the place, Y/N's eyes landed on a woman in the corner of the small library, a stack of books in one hand as she placed them on the shelves in the other.

She was a bit shorter than Y/N, had fair skin, and brunette hair that was tied neatly up in a blue bow. He approached her and tapped her shoulder, startling the woman and almost making her drop the books.

"Woah, sorry!" Y/N apologised, helping to steady the stack she held. "I was just wondering if you could help me."

"Of course!" The woman turned and Y/N was instantly captivated by her bright brown eyes that were filled with curiosity. "I don't think I've ever seen you around the village before. I'm Belle," she introduced herself, extending her free hand.

Y/N shook it. "My name's Y/N, it's a pleasure to meet you, Belle."

Belle nodded and smiled. "Likewise. Now, how can I help you?"

"I'm a traveller, well, a travelling writer," Y/N explained, tipping his hat. "I go from place to place, finding stories."

Belle's eyes seemed to light up. "Wow! I love stories and books... I've lived in the village all my life, so I've never met a real author before! This is incredible! What brings you here?" she asked, setting the books down.

Y/N smiled at Belle's intrigue with books. It wasn't very often to find a woman interested in that sort of thing. "I heard about an enchanted castle, with people that were turned into walking, talking objects, and a hideous beast in its walls!"

Belle stifled a giggle behind her hand as she gazed admiringly up at Y/N. "Why yes, there was a terrible, hideous beast living there..."

"Was?" Y/N tilted his head at her words. "What do you mean was?"

"Why don't I just show you?" Belle asked, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I can take you to the castle," she said as she walked out of the library.

Y/N gasped and followed her out. "You can? Wait, really? You must take me there! Please," he added with a sheepish grin.

Belle giggled and nodded. "I'd love to! I can explain the story of the castle as we go." She mounted her horse and waited for Y/N to do the same.

He hung onto her every word as she explained the curse that had been placed on the castle, and he was amazed to hear that Belle herself helped break it. She had taught the beast to love, and now she was close friends with him- and now he was back to being a Prince.

"So, you're friends with an actual prince?" Y/N asked as they approached the castle. Belle was such an intriguing woman... he almost didn't need to go into the castle for inspiration. "You're truly an incredible woman."
