Tao Jun stood at the edge of the courtyard, her sharp eyes fixed on Y/N as he spun his bow staff with a casual ease that belied the strength behind each movement. The courtyard, nestled within the Tao family's ancestral home, was usually silent and austere. Today, however, it echoed with the sounds of wood against wood as Y/N trained with his spirit ally, Xiang. The Monkey King, infamous for his playful nature, was in rare form—dodging and leaping, laughing as he urged Y/N to strike faster and harder.

Jun admired Y/N's sheer love for fighting. He was unlike most warriors she knew; there was a playfulness to his battles, a joy that seemed to resonate with every strike. His grin widened with every new challenge. Even now, as he sparred with Xiang, he was laughing. A warmth spread in her chest that she wasn't used to feeling—admiration, mixed with affection. They had been betrothed for some time now, a decision made before the final Shaman Fight. And though their engagement had been arranged, it had grown into something much more.

As the dust settled and Y/N's staff stilled, he turned to face her, his sharp eyes meeting hers. "What's on your mind, Jun?" he asked, voice full of curiosity. He spun the staff once more, as if he could never quite put it down for long.

She approached him, her movements graceful and deliberate. "You're too restless for your own good," she said, her tone teasing but soft. "Always fighting, always moving. Do you ever slow down?"

Y/N chuckled, wiping the sweat from his brow. "You know me better than that, Jun. Fighting is in my blood. But that doesn't mean I don't have time for you." He looked at her with a smirk that quickly melted into something more genuine. "Besides, aren't we supposed to be getting married soon? That might force me to slow down... a little."

Jun's cheeks warmed at the mention of their impending wedding. The battle with Hao had been over for some time, and the world had shifted into a new era of peace. Yet here they were, both warriors at heart, destined to be together. She had seen him grow from a brash fighter to a protector, not only of his friends but of her as well.

"Yes, soon," she replied, her lips curling into a small smile. "But don't think I'll go easy on you just because we're getting married. I'll make sure you stay sharp."

Y/N laughed, a deep and genuine sound. "I wouldn't expect anything less." He took a step toward her, closing the distance. "You ready for this, Jun? For us?"

For a moment, she hesitated, but then nodded. "I am. I wouldn't have it any other way."

The day of their wedding came faster than either of them expected. It was a quiet ceremony, attended by the closest of friends and family. Tao Ren stood beside his sister, his usual cold demeanour softened by the occasion. Yoh, Anna, and the others from the Shaman Fight had gathered, watching the union of two warriors who had fought alongside and against each other in battles both literal and personal.

Jun wore a traditional red and gold qipao, her hair adorned with delicate pins that shimmered under the light. She looked every bit the regal warrior she had always been, yet today, there was a softness to her that only Y/N could bring out. Y/N, in contrast, looked both proud and wild, his usual fighting spirit barely contained even on his wedding day. His bo staff was, of course, by his side, a testament to the life they both led.

As they exchanged vows, there was no need for elaborate promises. Their bond had been forged in the fires of battle, in the quiet moments shared after fights, and in the understanding that they were equals in every way.

When the ceremony ended, Y/N took Jun's hand and smiled down at her, his eyes sparkling with the promise of an adventure. "We're in this together, Jun. Always."
