The winter air was crisp, and a soft blanket of snow covered the earth like icing on a holiday cake. Everywhere you looked, the world seemed to glisten under the pale winter sun, reflecting off snowflakes like tiny diamonds. A quiet buzz of excitement filled the air as Krista Lenz adjusted her red Christmas coat, its white fur trim hugging her face as she twirled in front of Y/N, her boyfriend.

"What do you think?" she asked, her voice warm and sweet, her blue eyes sparkling like the snow around them. The outfit looked even better on her than Y/N could have imagined—her blonde hair caught the light, her cheeks were flushed from the cold, and the deep green sweater beneath the red coat brought out her natural glow.

"You look perfect," Y/N said with a soft smile, stepping closer to brush a stray lock of hair from her face. "Like... the Christmas spirit made human or something."

Krista laughed, the sound ringing in the stillness of the snow-covered world around them. "You're just saying that," she teased, but the pink spreading across her cheeks betrayed her shyness.

"No, I mean it." Y/N placed a hand on her shoulder, pulling her gently into a hug. "And, for the record, if we don't get some amazing photos of you today, it's definitely not your fault."

The pair stood in a clearing framed by tall pine trees, their dark green branches laden with snow. The photographer, a friendly older man with a thick scarf and a camera slung around his neck, adjusted his equipment nearby. "Alright, you two," he called, giving them a thumbs-up. "Let's start with something natural. Just talk, laugh, and be yourselves. I'll take care of the rest."

Krista grabbed Y/N's gloved hand and gave it a small tug. "Come on, let's give him something good," she said, her eyes sparkling with playful energy.

As they moved into position, Krista spun around once more, the hem of her coat swirling like the petals of a blooming poinsettia. She grinned at Y/N. "Does it look dramatic enough?"

"Very," Y/N replied, chuckling. "But you're going to get dizzy if you keep that up."

"Not a chance," Krista said, though the slight wobble in her step betrayed her. She reached out for Y/N to steady herself, laughing as he caught her by the waist.

The photographer snapped a few shots, smiling as he watched their interaction unfold. "You two are naturals," he said. "Just keep it up—these are looking great."

Krista leaned into Y/N's side, and they both smiled for the camera. But as the session continued, the lighthearted mood took over, and the posed photos gradually gave way to spontaneous moments.

At one point, Y/N reached down to scoop up a handful of snow. Krista caught the mischievous glint in his eye just a second too late. "Don't you dare!" she cried, taking a step back, but Y/N was already tossing the snow gently in her direction.

It wasn't much—just a small puff that scattered across her coat—but Krista gasped in mock indignation. "Oh, that's it. You're going to regret that!"

Before Y/N could react, Krista bent down and grabbed her own handful of snow, packing it quickly into a ball. She tossed it at him with surprising accuracy, the snow exploding against his chest in a flurry of white.

The photographer chuckled and stepped back, letting them have their moment. "I think we're done with the formal shots," he said, packing up his camera. "Have fun, you two!"

The snowball fight escalated quickly. Krista darted behind a tree for cover, her laughter echoing through the forest as Y/N tried to catch her. "You can't hide forever!" he called, grinning as he scooped up more snow.

"Oh, can't I?" Krista's voice came from behind the tree, and then, without warning, she darted out and tackled Y/N with surprising force.

The two of them tumbled into the snow, their laughter filling the air as they landed in a heap. Krista ended up on top, her hands pinning Y/N's wrists to the ground as she smirked down at him.

"Got you," she said triumphantly, her breath visible in the chilly air.

Y/N looked up at her, his cheeks red from both the cold and the sheer joy of the moment. "Alright, you win," he said, his voice soft. "But only because I let you."

"Sure you did," Krista replied, rolling her eyes. But her playful tone softened as she gazed down at him. For a moment, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the snowy forest.

Y/N reached up, his gloved hand brushing against her cheek. "You're amazing, you know that?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Krista's smile faltered for just a second, replaced by a look of vulnerability that Y/N rarely saw. "You really think so?" she asked.

"I know so," Y/N replied. "And I'm the luckiest guy in the world to be with you."

Krista leaned down, her blonde hair falling around her face like a curtain as she pressed her lips to his. The kiss was soft and lingering, filled with all the warmth and affection that words could never fully express.

When they finally pulled apart, Krista rested her forehead against Y/N's, her blue eyes searching his. "You're the best, you know that?" she said, echoing his earlier words.

"Yeah, but you're better," Y/N teased, earning a laugh from Krista as she sat back, still perched on top of him.

The snow around them sparkled in the sunlight, and for a while, neither of them moved. They were perfectly content to just be there, together, in their own little winter wonderland.

Eventually, Krista stood up and offered Y/N a hand. "Come on," she said, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "We still have time to make a snowman before the sun sets."

Y/N took her hand and let her pull him to his feet. "You're really full of energy today, huh?"

"It's Christmas," Krista replied, as if that explained everything.

The two of them spent the next hour building the most lopsided snowman imaginable, laughing at their own lack of skill. Krista insisted on giving it a crooked stick arm and a lopsided grin made of pinecones, while Y/N found a red scarf in his bag to wrap around its neck.

When they were done, they stood back to admire their handiwork. "It's... unique," Y/N said diplomatically.

Krista laughed and leaned her head against his shoulder. "It's perfect," she said.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange, the two of them stood in the clearing, their breath visible in the cold air. Krista reached for Y/N's hand, intertwining their fingers as she smiled up at him.

"Thank you," she said softly.

"For what?" Y/N asked, tilting his head in confusion.

"For everything," Krista replied. "For being here, for making me laugh, for..." She hesitated, her cheeks turning pink. "For loving me."

Y/N squeezed her hand and smiled. "Always," he said simply.
