Male Y/N

Y/N stood in front of the full-length mirror, adjusting his bow tie for the third time. Today was no ordinary day - it was Violet's wedding day. He could hardly believe that the brilliant young inventor who had come into his life all those years ago was now grown up and about to marry Duncan Quagmire.

The venue was, naturally, a testament to Violet and Y/N's combined engineering prowess. After rebuilding the place, they had transformed the old Quagmire mansion's ballroom into a mechanical marvel, with automated decorations that could adjust their positions based on the time of day to catch the perfect light. The ceiling featured a complex series of rotating mirrors and prisms that created dancing patterns of rainbow light throughout the space.

"Uncle Y/N?" Klaus's voice came from the doorway. Now a distinguished young man with his own library science degree, he still carried a book with him everywhere. "Violet's asking for you."

Y/N found Violet in the bride's preparation room, surrounded by various contraptions she and Y/N had designed specifically for the wedding. A mechanical dress steamer hummed quietly in the corner, maintaining the perfect temperature and pressure. An automated hair-styling system (inspired by Sunny's own successful salon) was making final adjustments to her elegant updo.

But what took Y/N's breath away was Violet herself. She wore a dress of her own design, incorporating subtle mechanical elements that allowed it to adapt to her movement, ensuring perfect comfort and grace. In her hair was the ribbon - the same one she had worn all those years ago when they first started inventing together.

"Uncle Y/N," she said, turning to face him. "I need your help with one last invention."

He smiled, recognizing the familiar glint in her eye. "On your wedding day?"

"Especially on my wedding day." She pulled out a small velvet box. Inside was a pair of rings - but not just any rings. "Duncan and I designed them together. They're meant to harmonize with each other through a series of micro-resonators, but I can't quite get the frequency calibration right."

Y/N sat down beside her, pulling out the miniature tool kit he always carried (a habit Violet had picked up from him years ago). Together, they bent over the rings, making minute adjustments while sharing memories of their years of inventing together.

"Remember when we had to recalibrate the entire workshop's ventilation system because Sunny's first attempt at spicy cuisine was a bit too successful?" Y/N chuckled.

Violet laughed. "Or when Klaus's research into atmospheric pressure accidentally triggered all our barometric sensors at once?"

"Those were good times," Y/N said softly, making a final adjustment to the rings. "Though I think today might top them all."

Violet set down her tools and hugged him tightly. "Thank you," she whispered. "Not just for helping with the rings, but for everything. For taking us in, for understanding me, for being the father I needed when I lost mine."

Y/N felt tears threatening to form but held them back. "Your father would be so proud of you, Violet. Just as I am."

A knock at the door revealed Isadora Quagmire, Duncan's sister and one of Violet's bridesmaids. "It's almost time," she announced, then added with a smile, "Duncan's practically vibrating with excitement. He's already filled three pages of his commonplace book with observations about the mechanical decorations."

Y/N stood, offering his arm to Violet. "Shall we do one final systems check?"

She smiled, slipping her arm through his. It was their tradition before any major event - treating it like the activation of a new invention, checking every detail methodically.
