"And you're sure it's harmless?" Via asked as Thane sat at the kitchen counter. "Positive, well, it is if it's the same Whispup. I think it is, same coloration, Lucas said he fought alongside one just like it." Thane replied, reassuring his virtual assistant. "What do we do then?" Via asked. Thane shrugged. "Not sure. It might be following me. Its last trainer was a jerk." He shrugged. "When we run into it again, we'll find out. Thanks again for decoding its signature. I can't believe it took us that long to find out we were being followed by that Whispup."

"Sure thing," Via responded dutifully. "Are you going to return to bed?" Thane shook his head. "Nah, can't sleep. Let's run back the strategy for when we battle Coraline and Lillian." He instructed. "Sure thing," Via said before she and Thane began ironing out the strategy. It was a double battle, and Thane had little experience in that arena.

Midway through the discussion, Via paused abruptly. "Someone's coming. Hallway." She said before going silent. Thane didn't even look in that direction. He snapped his head to the side and away from view as Luna emerged into the living room and connected kitchen. Her eyes landed on Thane's friend's and partner, Embit. Every single one of them was asleep. Then, she turned her attention to Thane and crossed her arms. "Who are you talking to?" She asked.

Thane, still turned away, ran through his options quickly. After a few moments, he cursed quietly under his breath. I can trust her. He thought before shifting in his seat. The glow from his eyes cast a dim, silver light across the room. It was like a spotlight. With a tight lip smile, Thane began. "Do you remember our conversation about the cybernetically enhanced?" He began in the most innocent tone he could muster. Wordlessly, Luna took a seat next to him.

"And the people who did this to you?" She asked after Thane had explained everything to her. Thane shrugged. "No clue. I passed out right after they gouged my eyes out, and next thing I know, I'm waking up in POLUT headquarters." He nodded to his friends. "They know." He said. Luna sighed. "Lucy didn't mention this." She said, sounding shocked. "Told her not to. Draws unwanted attention, and pity that I don't need." He said the last part with venom. "You meant what you said then, in our conversation?" Thane nodded. "These enhancements were forced on me. I didn't choose them, but I've learned to live with them. Makes some aspects of life easier." Luna nodded. "Yeah, that's the idea."

Silence passed over them. "Anything else I need to know?" Luna finally asked. "Nope," Thane said quickly, but he could tell Luna didn't believe him. Luna sighed and with a grunt, rose from the chair. "Get some rest. You guys will feel comfortable telling me later. Just no more of these late-night talks, freaked me out, kid." Thane smiled guiltily. "Sorry." Luna waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it, Thane. Eat if you're hungry, then go back to bed. Someone your age needs rest." Thane smiled, this time it was sincere. "Thank you, Luna." He said gratefully. "Don't mention it."

The next day came and went rather quickly. Instead of exploring the city, Thane opted for some last-minute training in preparation for the Battle Theatre. All the while he kept an eye out for Whispup, but he was nowhere to be found for the entire day. At least Luna had joined the ranks of a trusted ally.

Meanwhile, over at the museum, Noah and Lauren were still hard at work looking for the stone, hoping for a stroke of luck. Unfortunately, nothing had come up that day. The energy pulse of the stone was taunting them. It was close, but they couldn't find it. It was frustrating.

Day came and went. Night fell and soon, the dark sky shone bright again with morning "sun." By the time everyone had woken up, Luna had breakfast on the table. Pancakes, egg, and bacon for the trainers, and cooked meat and leaves for the Loomians.

Once the group had finished their meal, Luna was showered with thanks as the teens left her in the apartment as they left for the Battle Theatre, and Thane's fourth medal. By the time the group got to the Battle Theatre, Thane's parents were already there, ready and excited.
