"We're going the right way right?" Thane asked. His walk was a bit wobbly and uncertain. His eyes were still getting used to the rushing stimulus of Atlanthian. He really should have asked Jake and Mabel to walk him to the Battle Theatre. "We are going the right way," Via assured. Then, in a sarcastic tone, she added, "But if you were so worried, you should have asked your friends for help." Thane shook his head. "When did you develop a personality?" Thane shot back. "How much further?" He asked. "Two minutes," Via answered. Thane nodded and thanked her.

When Thane got to the theatre, Via let him know. "What am I looking at?" Thane asked as he readjusted his sunglasses and ensured Embit was perched firmly on his shoulder. "Atlanthian City Battle Theatre." Via started. "Water type and led by sisters Coraline and Lilian. The battle format is a double battle. The building is blue and donut-shaped. It is surrounded by a moat of water, and right now, you are crossing a transparent bridge to the entrance." Thane hummed thoughtfully. "Good to know."

As Thane, his partner Loomian, and his invisible AI assistant neared the entrance, an overenthusiastic man burst from the building. "Oh, man! That battle was incredible! It's always a pleasure to watch our Battle Stars in action!" The man appeared to be faking half of his excitement, and Thane planned on ignoring him. "I feel like I can take on anyone in the world right now and win!" He declared.

That's when the man must have spotted Embit on Thane's shoulder. "Hey, you!" He called out. "With the Embit!" Thane halted to a complete standstill. As the man approached, Via was describing the scene and running analysis. She concluded the man was harmless just as he reached Thane. "Hey, you a trainer?" He asked. Thane nodded slowly and cautiously. The man clapped his hands. "You are! Awesome! Whoever you are, I challenge you to a battle, one-on-one! I won't take no for an answer!" He challenged.

Thane tried to politely refuse, but the man was adamant. He really was not taking no for an answer. So, a few minutes later, Thane found himself standing opposite the man, who he learned was clean-cut and dressed in an expensive suit, on one of the many battlefields in the Entertainment District. Just a one versus one. Thane thought to himself, slightly annoyed. He could take this weird guy with no problem.

"Alright, I'll go first!" Meredin declared. "Go, Veylens!" He shouted as he threw the disc. A few seconds later, a silver Loomian hovered in the air. It was domed shape, and for once, the monotony of silver was broken up by a single red-eye on the top of the Loomian's head. Tendrils sprouted from the bottom of the Loomian and hung in the air like dangling hair.

"Veylens, the Drone Loomian. It is a metal-type Loomian. Veylens in the evolved form of Scorb and the pre-evolved form of Gardrone. This Loomian and its evolutionary family are artificial beings created by POLUT Corp. After receiving some updates, Veylens is able to plug itself into computers and instantly gather information. There have been reports that some have been involved in hacking into private networks." The information gave him pause. A sudden wave of discomfort washed over him, and he knew it was bias from his previous encounters with POLUT Corp. and their technology.

He quickly pushed those thoughts out of his head and turned to his partner, who was still perched on his shoulder. "Go, Embit!" He commanded, and the loyal Loomian leaped into the fight without question. They had a type advantage. This will be over quickly. Thane thought as the battle got underway. I wonder what Jake and Mabel are doing right now. He wondered as he suddenly remembered his two friends who were also in the Entertainment District.

A few blocks away, Mabel was struggling. She had lost count of how many outfits she had presented to Jake. All of them had been shot down by him. After rejecting her latest outfit, Mabel shifted to the side and banged her head on the wall. "You know what Jake, I think maybe you should pick the outfit." She finally relented. Like an obedient child, Jake nodded and walked off in search of the perfect outfit. Meanwhile, Mabel sat down with Starla and waited.
