Victoria laid in her bed staring at the wall across the room blankly. Her figure was frail, and her eyes had large dark bags under them. She wasn't taking any visitors, and she wasn't eating. She was trying to keep her mind from working. She wanted it to be empty and blank because the moment it started working, she'd be sucked into a replay of horrific memories and even darker possibilities for the future.
She wasn't the only one in a fragile state though. All of the boys were just as bad.
Sirius was stone cold empty since she broke up with him. His usual playboy status rising to an all-time high as he ran through girls faster than someone could apparate. He was trying to fill the void Victoria had left. He was miserable as he laid next to some girl, he couldn't even remember the name of. She was yapping on and on about 'next time' although he had no intention of there being a next time.
James had managed to land himself in the hospital wing due to his reckless flying in practice. It resulted in him receiving not only a broken leg and arm but a cracked rib and a week in the hospital wing under strict watch. He also received a very long-winded lecture about his recklessness.
Remus was the only one out of the four who seemed to be acting as if nothing had happened. He was in the library with his head shoved so deep into a book it looked like he was melting into it.
The biggest difference was that the marauders were rarely seen together these days. No jokes, no pranks, and no laughter. The castle felt cold and barren despite the students bustling around from class to class. It didn't help that someone was feeding the media and now it seemed like Victoria's breakup with her soulmates was competing for front page coverage with the rise in death eater attacks and sightings.

"V, you gotta eat this isn't healthy." May huffed as she sat at the end of Victoria's bed holding up a piece of bread toward the girl's face. Victoria did even look at her she just sighed and stared at the wall in front of her. Making no progress May sighed moving toward her own bed. It was late and it had been a long day trying to take care of not only Victoria but the marauders as well. Alex was helping too also trying to get Renee back, but the girl wouldn't budge.
As the night creeped on, and May had fallen asleep, Victoria struggled to stay awake. Her eyes heavy and exhaustion taking over as her eyelids fell over her eyes. Immediately her brain went into overdrive the room a blur the only clear image being Regulus.
"You should stop resisting love." His voice spoke softly in an attempt to be warm and comforting.
"Get the hell out of my head." Victoria scoffed.
"Now Now little songbird" Regulus spoke in a chastising tone. "That is no way to speak to your soon to be husband." His cold slender fingers gripped her chin harshly forcing her to look at him.
Victoria gave him a cold stare as she felt the blood fill her mouth and throat.
"You learn so quickly." He whispered as he moved his face closer to hers. His lips hovering over hers before she started violently coughing blood onto him. The only reaction from Regulus being a harsh slap across the face. "I'll see you soon darling and next time you will mind your manners." he sneered.
"The next time I see you I'll make you wish you were dead." She whispered as blood trickled down her lips and chin and sadistic grin on her face as his face paled. Her body and voice morphing into Walburg Black. "You can't escape me Regulus."
Victoria remerged from the black gloopy substance that was his mother. His face still pale as he watched her. The sadistic bloody grin still gracing her lips. "Oh, Regulus so scared of mummy? Understandably so I guess." she shrugged with a mischievous glint in her eye. "You may have projected yourself into my dream, but I can still read your mind Regulus." she spoke calmly with a taunting smirk as she stood up on shaky legs. "You're so naive Regulus. Do you really think the dark lord meant it when he promised me to you. He may be incapable of love, but the man isn't stupid he'd never let his blood line die. He'll kill you as soon as he has me."
"H- He promised." regulus responded in a shaky voice.
"It's odd you believe in blood purity, yet you follow someone who's a half-blood. It's odd you trust someone who so clearly has blinded you. He has manipulated you Regulus. I mean really you take order from Severus another half-blood." Victoria spoke matter of fact as she circled him. As she stood behind him, she leaned her head onto his shoulder just enough to whisper into his ear as she displayed an image of his death. "I've looked into his mind Regulus. He's going to kill you. I wouldn't lie about that."
Regulus shook his head violently shaking the thoughts and uncertainty from his mind as he whipped around now pointing his wand at Vicotria. "He won't I've been loyal he will reward me for my services!"
"You have doubt regulus. I can see it in your eyes. You don't really believe he cares for you!" Victoria argued with a sympathetic look as she raised her hands in surrender. "Tell Tom if he wants me, he can come retrieve me himself." She whispered before turning herself into a pile of dust.
Her body took in a violent breath as she sat up in the bed. She was no longer in her dorm but now in the hospital wing. Poppy and James both looking at her in worry and fear as May stormed in with Sirius Remus and Alex in tow.
