Since Regulus had infiltrated her mind Victoria had taken a different approach to guarding her mind. Her energy creating almost like a forcefield around her.  She felt much better after weeks of rehabilitation in the hospital wing. She gained some healthy weight back, her energy was soaring, and there were no more nightmares. Professor Moore and Poppy were still the only two allowed near her though. Moore helped her with her music and school, poppy continued to keep a close eye on her.

"I think I'm ready to go back to my dorm and classes." Victoria spoke clearly as her fingers delicately pressed the piano keys. The sound of a saxophone and a trumpet played softly behind her adding to the music.

"I don't know about that." Moore said nervously. Days turned to weeks and weeks had turned into months. Moore watched out of the large window as the snow fell and blanketed the school grounds.

"I can't stay locked in here forever M."

"Clearly but poppy and I can protect you here. You leave the hospital wing your open for an attack. You and I both know this school is crawling the death eaters or soon to be death eaters waiting to bring you to Voldemort." Moore spoke more firmly this time the fear and anxiety burning through his veins.

"I can't kill him unless I see him."

"You don't need to kill him. It's not your Job Victoria. You are a child and a student. Leave the war to the adults."

"You and I both know I have to be the one to kill him M. The prophecy says so."

"Prophecies can be wrong all the time."

"Not this one. I feel it in my bones. He'll be here soon I just don't know when or how he'll come but he is coming."

"We'll see about that" Moore whispered in response. The music filling the room as the conversation closed. He knew he couldn't win this one and he know Victoria was probably right, but he didn't like it.

*Marauders POV*

James sat outside the hospital wing. He listened to their conversation. The sureness in Victoria's voice making him nervous.

James had been reminiscing about the times with Victoria before it seemed like the world was falling apart and the sky had fallen. The small smiles in class, the late-night talks in the astronomy tower, and the cooking lessons he could never figure out.

James remembered the night he fell for her, well maybe not the exact night. Falling for Victoria was gradual and slow. One day he was irritated at her for bothering him when he really just wanted to be alone and the next, he was jealous of her soulmates when he was too dumb to realize he was one of them.

He remembered the terrible dancing and the laughs. He remembered admiring her blonde waves and blue eyes and the way the moon made her look like a painting. That was the only thing James could equate her beauty to. She looked like the kind of woman men would paint for days on end or sculpt out of marble. Maybe in a past life that's exactly what he did. Maybe in a past life he painted her over and over again trying to capture her beauty for an eternity.

Now she sat behind two large wooden doors that separated them, and it felt like agony. He felt like his soul was being ripped from his body every time he saw the bleeding array of colors shoot out from under the door.

"Go get some sleep Prongs. I got it from here." Sirius spoke quietly causing James to jump slightly surprised by his friend's presence. He had forgotten the time. He didn't realize the hours had passed so quickly. The boys along with May and Alex had all decided to take shifts guarding the door. It wasn't much but in case she had the chance to leave then one of them would be there. Also, it was in hopes of keeping any potential death eaters or threats out.

James sighed as he looked at Sirius. If there was anyone struggling with this the worst, it would be Sirius. He was in denial originally falling back into old habits but now he just looked like a shell of the person he had been before. His eyes losing their spark and his smirk no longer exuding confidence. His eyes were decorated with dark bags and his skin pale and sickly looking.

"She was playing earlier. The colors are getting more vibrant I think she's getting better." James whispered. Sirius nodded and sighed in relief. James stood up patting his friend on the shoulder. "Well, I'll leave you to it. See you in a few hours."

Their hearts dropped when the door opened only to reveal Professor Moore. The tall man looked tired and stressed as he closed the door behind him but not without the two boys catching a small glance at the blonde-haired girl closing the piano. The man sighed shaking his head.

"I swear that girl's gotta be a seer or something." He muttered to himself. "She says hi, and that you two should go to your dorm and back to bed." he spoke with a tight-lipped smile before walking down the hallway.

James nodded giving Sirius a quick glance, but the dark-haired boy wasn't paying attention. His face covered in a smile. James deciding to leave it went to the dorms.

Sirius though didn't care that Victoria asked him to leave he wasn't going anywhere. He had gotten his first glance at her in months, and she looked beautiful. Her lips tilted into a soft smile as she was leaving the Piano. Clearly, she was doing better. She wouldn't be smiling if she wasn't.
