"Hello?"

"Hey, I just got here. I'm parked a few rows back from the front door."

"Who is this...?"

"Sammmm."

"Kidding. Be right down."

You popped the trunk and climbed out of your rental car, walking around to the back while you waited for your friend to meet you.

To say the past week had been busy would most definitely be an understatement.
After the show in Connecticut where you had decided to stay with Sam you booked a flight back home to Los Angeles to see the damage of your home and get all the things that you would need for the next month/couple of weeks.
Your home...well, it was a disaster.
You had tried your best to tidy up some while you were there but there was really no use.
But thankfully as you hoped not much had been ruined, and if it was, it was easy enough to replace.
While you were in LA you had a chance to sit down and talk with Andrew in office and explain everything to him.
He of course offered to help you with whatever you needed and said for you to work wherever you wanted to, that he could get all your meetings lined up to be done over Zoom instead of in person for the time being.
He also made sure to tell you to be careful. Especially out and about with the boys because of your current so called...."situation".
But you expected nothing less considering he was like a second dad to you.
Calum and Ivy had managed to call numerous times throughout the week whenever they could.
Well, Ivy not so much considering she was still in the honeymoon phase with Ashton...
You had also called and had a lengthy conversation with your mom and told her everything.....well everything minus the Jake situation...
Although you didn't even have to tell her, she could tell you were stressed and it had definitely helped to talk it all out with her.
She had also graciously agreed to babysit her grandson (Duke) for the foreseeable future so you wouldn't have to worry about taking him from place to place.
But that meant yet ANOTHER flight to Michigan to drop him off, then after a few days back home you were now in Nashville.

Standing in front of  Sam's huge apartment complex to be more specific.

"And there she is! My beautiful roommate for the next few weeks!"

You turned around to see Sam walking across the parking lot with a giant grin across his face.

"Hiii Samuel."

He paused just short of getting to you and crossed his arms over his chest, "Well that didn't exactly sound like a person who's too excited to be staying with me?"

"I am excited to stay with you." You laughed, now leaning back and sitting on the edge of the trunk, "It's just been....a long week." You sighed.

Sam frowned and walked the rest of the way over, stopping in front of you, "I know, and I'm sorry. Hopefully I can help you relieve some of that stress while you're here."

You raised an eyebrow at him, "And by that you mean..?"

Sam rolled his eyes before pulling you up and into a tight hug, "I obviously meant by having some fun.....wait, what did you think I meant????"

"I'm kidding Sam." You laughed giving him a squeeze, "Just wanted to get you back for always being cheeky with me."

"Ha ha you're so funny. Now move so I can get your bags."

You laughed and stepped over out of the way to look up at Sam's building.
It was almost identical to Jake's, weirdly enough, as was the gated neighborhood he lived in.
