Hi friends ♥️
Sorry this one is a little late, I was on vacation for two weeks before school started and didn't write any during that time.
I feel like this chapter is a bit all over the place but hopefully you still like it!
It also has a little bit of ✨s p i c e✨(barely) and I always feel awkward writing that so if it sucks I'm really sorry, don't tell me, just let me be delulu and think it's decent lol 🙃😭

"Hey this is Calum. Clearly I can't get to the phone right now so leave me a message and I might call you back. Byeeeee"

*BEEP*

"Calum please call me back. We really need to talk this through. Please. I-I love you." You hung up sighed,  dropping your head onto Sam's dining table.

Calum hadn't spoken to you since your fight on Friday.
It was Tuesday.
You had talked to Ivy multiple times just to check in and see if he was okay, and she told you to just let him cool off, take his time to get over it, and he would call you when he was ready.
You weren't so sure he would which is why you continued to leave voicemail after voicemail.
When you had woken up at Jake's early on Saturday morning (6 am to be exact) you quickly got dressed and headed back to Sam's, making sure to sneak out before Jake had woken up.
Why did you do that you might ask?
You didn't have an answer because you didn't even really know.
More than likely because you still felt guilty about your fight with Calum and knew waking up in your exes bed wouldn't exactly improve the situation.
With how early Jake usually woke up you were surprised you had even managed to sneak out without him knowing or already being awake.
But he had texted you about an hour after you had gotten home (as soon as he realized you were gone) in true Jake fashion.
He had also texted you a few times since then, all of which you ignored.
Sam and Danny headed to the "cabin in the woods" they liked to call it on Monday as planned...but not before asking you 500+ times if you wanted to join them.
You declined again, not wanting to intrude on their time, but that now meant you had his place all to yourself.
And you would think would be nice but it really wasn't...
Without Sam there is just felt empty and quiet.
You had managed to busy yourself with work the past two days, making sure to fill Ivy in on what she had missed and what all was going on the next few weeks with meetings, contracts, vendor deadlines, social media management etc.

But it was now 5:36 pm.
Before attempting to call Calum you had just finished up your last bit of work for the day, replying to some emails, and you were now trying to figure out what you were going to do all evening.
You had had the TV on all day for some background noise while you worked at the dining room table and saw that there was a severe thunderstorm warning for tonight through tomorrow morning, with the possibility of flooding, so you knew you didn't want to leave the house if you didn't have to.

Standing up from the table you stuck your laptop in your bag, making sure to gather the rest of your work things before taking them into your room to put them away in your closet.
From the way the natural light in your room was dimming, you could tell it was getting darker outside signaling the storm was coming in fast.
You flopped down on your bed against the headboard with a sigh.
From the corner of your eye, you could see your writing journal sitting on your nightstand.
After your conversation with Jake at the bar the other night it had given you the slight desire to you pull it out of your stuff you had brought to Sam's, but then you ultimately chickened out of actually trying to write something and just left it sitting there.
But at this point it was almost taunting you.
To distract yourself, you decided to finally call Matt back since you hadn't talked to him in a while.
You had done a lot better at calling and talking to your mom more frequently, but sadly he had slipped through the cracks which you regretted to say.
Grabbing your phone, you scrolled to his name in your contacts and clicked the Face Time button.
