Lena had been thinkin' long and hard about her future, realizin' that her original plan to pursue psychology wasn't what she truly wanted anymore. After havin' Amina, her priorities had shifted, and she was lookin' for a career that could give her stability, better pay, and quicker entry into the workforce. IT was somethin' she'd been hearin' more about lately, with its endless opportunities and solid pay. After doin' some research, she decided to enroll in an IT Support Specialist certificate program, which would only take about a year to complete.

The program offered a mix of on-campus and online classes, allowin' her to balance her studies with her time at home. Que agreed to keep Amina whenever Lena needed to be on campus, and it worked out well. Baby girl was three months old now, chubby-cheeked and always smilin'. She was the light of everyone's day, and Lena loved how much joy Amina brought into their lives.

With her classes underway, Lena found herself feelin' a renewed sense of purpose. She was buildin' a future she could be proud of, somethin' that would give Amina a stable foundation. The coursework was challengin', but she found herself enjoyin' the hands-on approach, learnin' about tech support, troubleshooting, and network basics.

Family Time and FaceTime Calls

Amina was never short on attention. Between her family and Que's, it felt like her little girl was always the center of attention. Lena's phone seemed to stay busy with FaceTime calls from friends and family, each person wantin' their own chance to see Amina's beautiful, chubby smile. She didn't mind though—she loved how loved her daughter was, even if she was a bit overprotective. Amina rarely left her sight, and Lena kept a close eye on her wherever they went.

One afternoon, while Amina was napping, Lena looked over at Que, smilin'. "We need to plan a trip back home soon," she said. "Everyone's been beggin' to see her now that she's a little bigger."

Que nodded, a grin spreadin' across his face. "They're gonna lose it when they see her. She's the cutest thing ever."

They agreed to plan a two-week trip back to their hometown in Georgia, givin' both sides of the family a chance to see Amina, spoil her, and watch her grow. Lena was excited but also a bit nervous; this would be their first trip with Amina, and she was determined to make it special.

Embracin' the Change

As Lena prepared for the trip and kept up with her classes, she found herself finally settlin' into her new path. While it wasn't the journey she'd originally planned, it was one that felt right. She had Amina, a family that loved her, and a future she was buildin' from the ground up.

Her heart was full, and as she held her daughter close, she felt a sense of gratitude she couldn't put into words. This was her life—beautiful, imperfect, and filled with endless potential.
