Lena sat at the kitchen table, scrollin' through her laptop, tryna keep her mind off Que bein' out all night. He'd told her he had "business" to handle, and she knew what that meant. Every time he left like this, her heart felt heavy, worryin' 'bout him. But he promised her it was the last time, that after tonight, they'd be able to move forward without lookin' over their shoulders.

She glanced over at Amina, who was sleepin' soundly in her crib nearby. Watchin' her baby girl brought a sense of calm, but also a reminder of how much was on the line. She wanted a life where they could just be a family, without the risks, without the late-night calls and Que's life takin' him into dangerous situations.

Que Returnin' Home

As dawn broke, Lena heard the sound of the door openin', her heart pickin' up as she saw Que step inside. He looked tired but relieved, his shoulders finally relaxed as he took off his jacket. She got up, walkin' over to him, her eyes searchin' his face for answers.

"It's done?" she whispered, feelin' the weight of the question hangin' between them.

Que nodded, pullin' her close, his arms wrapped around her tightly. "Yeah, baby. It's done. Ain't nobody gon' bother us no more."

She exhaled, feelin' the tension melt away as she rested her head against his chest. She knew he'd done whatever it took to protect them, and even though a part of her struggled with that, she also knew he did it outta love.

Talkin' 'Bout Their Future

They sat down on the couch, Que still holdin' her close. Lena looked up at him, seein' the relief in his eyes, but also the weight of the choices he'd made.

"So... what's next for us?" she asked softly, her voice filled with hope. "I want us to build somethin' real, Que. I need you home with us, focusin' on our family."

Que nodded, takin' her hand. "I know, Lena. I'm ready for that. I'm startin' to make moves to put all this behind us. Gonna be here for you and Amina, like I promised."

She smiled, feelin' that love and hope for the future fillin' her heart. They'd been through so much, but now, they had a chance to build the life they'd always talked about.

Endin' the Night Together

They put Amina to bed together, watchin' her sleep peacefully, and Lena felt a deep sense of peace she hadn't felt in a long time. When they finally lay down, Que wrapped his arms around her, whisperin' promises of a better future, one where they'd always be together.

For the first time in a while, Lena felt like they'd finally found their way to peace.
