The next few days flew by as Que got ready for his trip, and Lena could feel the weight of it settlin' in. Even though she knew he was makin' sure they were safe, she still wished he didn't have to leave at all.Early in the mornin', they had breakfast together, just the three of them. Amina, in her high chair, babbled away, bringin' a lightness to the table that helped ease some of the tension. Que kept reachin' over, holdin' Lena's hand or brushin' her cheek, as if he wanted to make the most of every moment before he left.
After breakfast, Lena started packin' up a few things for Amina. Her mom would be stayin' close by, just in case, and Que had arranged for security around the house. Lena appreciated all he was doin', but deep down, it still felt heavy knowin' he'd be gone.
Intimate Goodbye
That afternoon, Que pulled Lena aside, his expression serious but soft. "I know this ain't easy, Lena," he said, takin' her hands in his. "But I need you to know I'm doin' this for us, for our future."
She nodded, lookin' up at him, her voice soft. "I know, Que. Just... be careful."
He leaned in, pressin' a gentle kiss to her forehead, then pullin' her close. "I'll be back before you know it."
They moved to the bedroom, where their goodbye grew more intimate. Lena wrapped her arms around him, losin' herself in the warmth of his embrace. They shared slow, deep kisses, as if each one held the promise of his safe return. He lifted her gently, layin' her down as they took their time, savorin' every second together.
Evening Farewell
As the sun set, Que stood by the door, his bags packed, ready to go. Amina was asleep in her room, and Lena stood close, her arms crossed as she tried to keep her emotions in check.
He wrapped her in a tight hug, his hand gently holdin' the back of her head. "I love you, Lena. I'll call every chance I get."
She nodded, her voice choked with emotion. "I love you too, Que. Just come back safe."
With one last look, Que stepped out, leavin' Lena feelin' both proud of his strength and heartbroken at his absence. She watched him go, knowin' this was the life they were buildin' together, even if it meant a few sacrifices along the way.
