Lena had returned to North Carolina, deciding to wait for the DNA results before making any final decisions about moving back to Georgia. She knew that if the baby turned out not to be Que's, they could finally plan a future together without any unresolved baggage. Until then, she wanted to keep things steady, focusing on her own life and her daughter.

Amina, now napping in her crib, gave Lena some quiet time to catch up on work. She'd been reviewing some documents on her laptop, feeling productive and at ease. Her family had stayed behind in Georgia, with her mom needing to manage a few things at home, but they kept in touch daily, calling to check in on her and baby girl.

After Amina woke up, Lena decided to take a quick trip to Target to pick up a few groceries and maybe a couple of outfits for her growing daughter. She pushed the cart through the aisles, enjoying the simple routine as Amina sat happily in the seat, babbling to herself.

An Unexpected Warning

While browsing in the electronics section, Lena felt the presence of someone nearby. She looked up to see a stranger standing beside her, a man she'd never seen before, his expression cold and unsettling.

"Are you Que's girlfriend?" he asked, his tone sharp and invasive.

Lena's heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to stay calm. "Excuse me, who are you?" she replied, her voice steady.

"Don't worry about it," he said with a smug smile. "Just tell him we're watching. And we're watching everyone he knows." With that, he turned and walked away, leavin' her frozen in shock.

The words sent a chill down her spine, and for a brief moment, fear gripped her. But she quickly composed herself, not wantin' to show any reaction. She tried to continue shopping, but her hands were shaky as she gathered a few remaining items and headed to self-checkout, wantin' nothing more than to get out of the store.

Once Amina was safely buckled in her car seat, Lena drove off, her mind racing with worry. She knew she had to tell Que. Pullin' over in a quiet spot, she took a deep breath and called him, recounting every detail of the encounter.

Que's Response

When Que picked up, his voice turned sharp with concern as he listened. "What? Someone came up to you like that?" His tone was filled with anger, his frustration evident as she finished explaining.

"Yes," Lena replied, tryin' to keep her own voice calm. "He just... walked up and said they were watchin' and that they were watchin' everyone you know."

Que took a deep breath, clearly trying to hold back his anger. "Lena, I'm comin' out there. First flight tomorrow morning. I don't want you stayin' in that house anymore. Pack up whatever you can for you and baby girl, and I'll have someone pack up the rest."

Lena nodded, relief washing over her at his words. "Alright, Que. I'll start packin' tonight."

"Good. You'll stay with me at my place. We're not takin' any chances."

Preparing to Leave

Back at the house, Lena quickly set to work, packin' up essentials for herself and Amina. She couldn't shake the fear lingering in her mind, but she felt reassured knowin' Que was on his way. As she packed, she made sure to have everything they'd need for a while, from baby clothes and toys to her own necessities.

By the time she finished, the house felt empty, and Lena's nerves were on edge. She spent the rest of the evening tryin' to distract herself, checkin' on Amina constantly and mentally preparing herself for what was to come. She knew Que wouldn't let anything happen to them, but the reality of the situation weighed heavily on her.

As night fell, she kept her phone close, her mind racing with thoughts of the man's warning. She didn't know what the future held, but she was determined to protect her daughter and face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowin' that Que would soon be by her side.
