Renee sat at her kitchen table, scrollin' through her phone, smilin' at the pictures Jada had sent her of Lena and baby girl. She couldn't believe how much things had changed. Lena was a whole mom now, engaged to Que, and buildin' her life. They used to talk 'bout the future all the time, but back then, it was all just dreams.

She missed her girl, missed the days when they'd all get together, talkin' 'bout everythin' and nothin'. Even though they still kept in touch, things felt different now, like they were all growin' in their own directions.

Thinkin' 'Bout Life Choices

Renee had been thinkin' a lot lately 'bout her own life. While Lena had Que and baby girl, Renee was still figurin' things out. She wasn't rushin' to settle down, but sometimes she wondered if she'd ever find someone as solid as Que, someone who'd be down for her through it all.

She sighed, rememberin' all the talks she and Lena used to have, back when life was simpler. She knew Lena had been through a lot with Que, but the way they held each other down? That was somethin' special.

Catching Up With Jada

Later, Jada called her up, and they spent an hour talkin' 'bout Lena, laughin' at old memories and how crazy it was to see her best friend as a mom now.

"Girl, can you believe it?" Jada said, laughin'. "She out here with a whole family. I still remember us plottin' on sneakin' out to parties and all that."

Renee laughed. "Right? Times done changed. But I'm happy for her, though. She got somethin' real."

Jada sighed. "Yeah, she do. We gon' find it too, though."

Renee nodded, feelin' that spark of hope. She knew Jada was right. They'd get their turn eventually.

Feelin' Proud and Lookin' Forward

After they hung up, Renee sat back, smilin' to herself. She was proud of Lena, proud of how far her friend had come. And even though their paths were different, she knew they'd always have each other, always be there to support one another.

She wasn't in a rush, but she was excited to see what life had in store for her. One thing was certain: with friends like Lena and Jada by her side, she knew she'd be just fine.
