Jada sat on the porch, scrollin' through her phone, smilin' at pictures of Lena and baby girl. She couldn't believe her best friend was a mama now, with a whole family, engaged to Que. It was wild, thinkin' back to all those years they'd spent growin' up together, never knowin' life would end up like this.

Missin' Her Best Friend

She sighed, realizin' how much she missed Lena. Ever since Lena moved to North Carolina and then came back, things had been different. They'd stayed close, but now, with Lena's whole life revolvin' around her family, it was like they was in two different worlds.

Jada was happy for her, no doubt. Lena had found the love of her life and built somethin' real. But sometimes, Jada wished they could go back to those carefree days, just the two of them, laughin', plannin' out the future, talkin' 'bout boys and dreams like they used to.

Catchin' Up Over the Phone

She picked up her phone and hit Lena up, feelin' like she needed to hear her best friend's voice. Lena answered on the second ring, soundin' tired but happy.

"Hey, girl! Miss you," Jada said, leanin' back on the porch steps, a smile spreadin' across her face.

"Miss you too, Jada," Lena replied, laughin' a little. "It's been crazy over here, tryin' to keep up with Amina and everythin' with Que."

Jada chuckled. "Girl, I bet. You a whole mom now, engaged and everythin'. Look at you!"

They both laughed, fallin' into that easy rhythm they always had. They talked about everythin', catchin' up on all the little things. Jada told her 'bout work, her latest crush, and how she was thinkin' 'bout maybe makin' some changes in her own life.

Feelin' Proud but Wantin' More

After they hung up, Jada sat there, feelin' a mix of emotions. She was proud of Lena, proud of how far her friend had come and everythin' she'd built with Que. But it also made her reflect on her own life, wonderin' what her next move should be.

She wanted somethin' real too, like what Lena and Que had, but she wasn't sure where to find it. It seemed like every guy she met wasn't serious, and she was tired of playin' games.

As the sun set, Jada made a silent promise to herself. She was gonna find her own happiness, build somethin' real, just like Lena. But until then, she'd keep supportin' her best friend, knowin' they'd always have each other's backs no matter where life took them.
