Stepping into my home, I took a deep breath, feeling the quietness envelop me.

Removing my heels and placing my purse on the living room table, I headed to the kitchen, where I poured myself a much needed glass of wine.

Rubbing my temples, I tried to calm my nerves. After the week I had just endured, I craved solitude and didn't want any interruptions.

Life was moving at a rapid pace for us. The girls' prom and graduation were approaching, and they were turning eighteen soon. We were also preparing for Zyla to go off to college this upcoming fall.

It's crazy how in a blink of an eye your children grow. I wasn't ready for this next journey for us, Taylor's, but I was so damn proud of my babies.

On the kitchen table, I found white roses and a note card. I set my glass aside and approached the table.

Sniffing the flowers, I picked up the note card, which read, "Be ready at 5 my wife!" Blushing at my husband's thoughtfulness, I quickly rushed upstairs to get ready.

It had been a while since Zachary and I had some alone time, and I eagerly anticipated quality time with him, just the two of us.

My phone vibrated on the vanity, breaking me from my thoughts. It was Zac calling. "Hello, babe," I answered. "What's up, beautiful? Are you ready?" he asked.

"Yes, I'm ready and excited to see what you have planned for us tonight," I snickered. "Well, I'm at the door, my love," Zachary said.

"Okay, babe, I'll be right out," I said, grabbing my purse. I headed for the front door. Stepping outside, I was greeted by the smile of a driver standing beside a white Rolls-Royce.

"I have everything planned, and the car will take you to our date night," Zac said. "Don't be asking any questions either, nosy ass." He added.

"Are you kidding?!" I blushed so hard that I'm certain he could hear it through the phone.

"Nah, this weekend is all about you, baby. We've been so caught up with our shit, that I just want to make up for it," he said. "You're the best!" I exclaimed before disconnecting the call.

"Good evening, Mrs. Taylor," the driver greeted me with a hand extended to help me inside. As I sank into the seat, I quickly called my children to make sure they were safe.

Twenty-five minutes later, we arrived at a high-rise condo building downtown, and the driver exited the car.

When he opened my door, I gratefully accepted his hand before stepping out, puzzled by our unexpected destination.

I scanned the surroundings for Zachary, but he was nowhere to be found. After a few moments, a young woman approached me with a radiant smile.

"Hello, Mrs. Taylor, this is from Mr. Taylor," she said, extending a handwritten note on a lilac card. I eagerly opened it and read the note .

"Wassup Sexy, I know your schedule has been hectic this week, and I know you haven't had a chance to unwind, so I'm determined to ensure you do before our date. Enjoy the bubble bath, the city view, and wine on me. - Hubby

A chuckle escaped my lips as I read Zachary's note. I slipped the note card into my purse and followed the young women's led as we entered the building.

I cherished date nights because, no matter what, Zac always put in his best effort.

In the dining room, a massage table overlooking the city beckoned. As the sun descended, I eagerly anticipated a breathtaking view.
