Chapter 76. Priorities

Thanks to Michael disturbing Tejas, I was saved from melting into a puddle of goo. Michael informed that Pritesh was unconscious, and we needed to inform the authorities because the matter was serious.

Tejas broke the hug, and I avoided the curious stares of Yukta and Jolina, while Akshay was staring holes in my skull.

Tejas said that Pritesh was just knocked out and would wake up soon, and but he needed to be taken to the nurse's office.

While Pritesh was carried by the nursing staff to the clinic, Tejas called Sarthak and informed him about what had happened. All of us were summoned in Sarthak's cabin, and Danny also joined us when he learned about Tejas punching Pritesh.

When all of us entered Sarthak's cabin, I and Danny first explained how we had seen Pritesh with Yukta and found Pritesh's behaviour off-putting. Then, Yukta explained how Pritesh was at first flirting normally with her but got aggressive soon. He had offered to help her financially, but when she had refused his demands, he had threatened to get her thrown out of the program.

Sarthak reminded her that he was the only authority to decide that and sympathized with her. After her, he turned to Tejas and asked him why he knocked out Pritesh the moment he arrived at the studio.

Tejas told him that he did that because he saw Pritesh misbehaving with me, and I instantly glued my gaze on the floor as everyone's eyes focused on me.

When I glanced up, I noticed Sarthak smirking at me, and I wondered why he was looking at me like a mischievous kid. He warned Tejas that Pritesh could take legal action against him, but Tejas was unfazed. He said that if Pritesh tried anything again, he would not mind punching him once more.

Sarthak told Tejas to calm down and adviced Yukta to file a complaint against Pritesh because if Pritesh needed to be cut off from the program, they needed solid evidence and witnesses for that.

Everyone was dismissed, and Danny teased Tejas how he was trying to get all the limelight and made a star-like entry. Tejas let Danny tease him, and when we reached our practice room, all of us wondered how we were going to continue now because Pritesh's position was unsure for the time being.

Tejas told us to relax for today, and while consoling Yukta, he received a message on his phone and announced that Pritesh had woken up and called police to the studio.

On the mention of police, my face went pale. I worried about Tejas getting arrested, but when the police arrived at the studio, Sarthak was there to handle the talks, and Yukta bravely told the police how Pritesh was abusing her.

Since Pritesh was the first one to lodge a complaint, the police couldn't take action against him. Therefore, Yukta instantly filed an online complaint against him on the spot, and seeing this, Pritesh got agitated and tried to harm her in front of everyone. He couldn't do anything because Tejas kicked him before he could even reach Yukta.

Sarthak reminded the police to remember what they just witnessed, and Pritesh stormed out of the studio hurling curses at everyone. I was concerned, but Tejas and Sarthak assured everyone to just focus on their training while they handled the matter.

After the police left, we returned to our practice room, while Tejas and Akshay went to Sarthak's cabin to discuss the issue. As I kept thinking about Tejas unnecessarily landing in trouble because of me, Yukta, Jolina, and Michael were busy teasing me about how Tejas had protected me.

By the time our practice was about to end, I had turned the darkest shade of red. One by one, my teammates began leaving, and I had to kick Yukta to make her go.

I knew I had to take a shower to wash off the persistent blush covering my whole body. I was packing my bag when I heard Tejas's voice. I saw him wave goodbye to Yukta and wondered why he was alone; Akshay was not with him.
