⚠️ Long chapter ahead ⚠️

I got my first assignment. Since I was new, my teachers wanted to assess my current skills, and then work on my weak points accordingly. After a week, I was well-acqaunited with my classmates and was following my schedule diligently.

As it was Saturday, almost everyone went out for dates, clubbing and dining. Faith and Claire were also out, so I decided to watch a movie in the common living room.

Before I began my dinner, I took my phone and called my parents. After talking to them, I called Tejas, and it had become our daily routine to call each other at this time. Sometimes, he was super busy, but he would always drop me a text.

"Having dinner now?" Tejas asked, his voice feeling strained.

"Yes, but are you okay? You don't sound well," I said.

"It is nothing serious. I conducted a workshop today for Sarthak's team, so I was talking non-stop. What about you? What have you cooked today?"

I sent him the picture of my dinner. "Please take care of yourself. I am missing out on a lot of things. I wanted to join your workshop."

"I will conduct a special one for you when you return," he said.

"Thank you very much. You are the best!"

We talked for a while, and when I told him that I was planning on watching a movie, he gave me some suggestions. We hung up as he got called by his father.

I was scrolling the movie guide when suddenly, the TV screen started flickering. I wondered if the remote was broken, but the screen began acting on its own. I switched off the TV, but it switched on itself.

What the heck?

I decided to check the wires, but as soon as I got up from the sofa, I heard a chuckle behind me. When I turned around, I noticed Axel controlling the TV with his mobile phone.

He glanced at me and smiled. "Hello, Small Bean, enjoying your dinner?"

I didn't reply and went back to finish the remaining portion in my plate. Axel slowly walked around me and dropped down on the elongated sofa on the right side.

He selected a movie of his choice and started it.

"I wonder if you will be able to understand it," he said.

I was done eating, so I grabbed my plate and went to the kitchen. I washed the utensils and wondered what Axel was planning. He was behaving normally, but I doubted if he had something up his sleeves.

I want to watch the movie Tejas told me about.

When I went back to the living room, Axel was mindlessly scrolling through the TV screen.

"If you are still confused, then can I watch a movie of my choice?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "Nope. This is my TV, so I will watch what I want."

"Your TV? Have you bought it yourself? As it is, you are just wasting time, so let me watch it."

"Small Bean, is your brain small too? My brother owns this academy, which means I own it too. Everything in this dorm belongs to me; even the room you are staying in. Either silently watch what I want, or leave. No one is forcing you to stay."

I wanted to argue, but I had to prepare for my assignment also. I started leaving when I noticed Axel hovering the cursor over the movie I wanted to watch. Surprisingly, he started it, and I waited for a few minutes to confirm if he was going to change his mind or not. He didn't.
