The day finally arrived when I was able to leave the hospital. Nobody visited me for the rest of the week. Not even Micah or Malachi. I was truly alone. My heart dropped in my stomach as I sat on my bed fighting the urge to scream and punch the mirror facing me. The nurse walked in and handed me my discharge papers. "Do you have a ride?"

"No I'm walking."

"It's pretty cold out, why don't I call a cab for you?"

"No no it's fine really. I can walk."

I could tell she felt uncomfortable with my answer but didn't press on about it.

I tucked the papers in my hoodie and made my way out the doors. The crisp air hit my uncovered skin and I hissed. It was a few blocks from Malachi's. Maybe I could convince him to let me stay. At least until I found a new place. I knew it was a bad idea from the beginning but what choice do I have?

The walk was miserable and it started raining on me. Just great. Upon arriving at his place I felt my heart race. I took a few strides to the door and stopped when my hand almost touched the doorbell. I took a deep breath and rang it. Seconds almost felt like minutes. The door cracked open and Malachi peeked out. Once he knew it was me he opened it fully.

"Luca?"

"Hey? Mind If I um..come in?"

"Uh sure?"

I stepped inside and my hands started trembling. "Can we talk?"

"Now you want to talk to me?"

"Listen I know I haven't been the best communicator, but we need to talk."

"Fine, let's talk."

Malachi and I both sat on the couch and for a few moments I just stared at the ground and froze. Why was speaking to someone so hard?

"So?" Malachi leaned forward in his seat.

"I need a place to stay..."

"So you thought you could come here, and I'd let you stay?"

"I knew this was stupid idea." I fought the pain in my chest and tried to move but Malachi stopped me.

"I never said no."

I glanced up at him and saw the sincerity in his eyes. "I just need a bed for maybe a week until I get my car fixed and a hotel room."

"That's fine with me, but Luca your car is completely totaled."

"Fuck.." My head falling into my hands as the news was far worse.

"Let's worry about that later and get you something to eat."

Malachi held his hand out and I took it. He pulled me into a tight hug and for the first in two weeks I felt warm and safe. I shouldn't be with him, but he somehow made everything four times better even after the drama.
It was when we both pulled apart and looked into each other's eyes, that I felt this weird spark. Malachi examined my eyes and drifted down to my lips as he bit his. "You are so tempting."

My face felt like it was on fire with his comment. I smiled and leaned forward. "What's stopping you?"

Malachi mashed his lips with mine hungrily. Like a wolf devouring it's prey, he picked me up carefully to not hurt my broken arm. His hands firmly under my ass somehow gripping them perfectly. Our lips were red and swollen by the time we ended a kiss. A trail of salvia coming from our mouths. My heart was going like I ran a marathon. "This is enough."

Malachi smirked and kissed the tip of my nose before setting me gently down on the ground. I could tell he was horny from the obvious bulge from his jeans. I was switched back to the moment as my stomach growled loudly.

"Let's make you some food.* A hint of sarcasm coming from his voice. He led the way to the kitchen and I sat at one of the wooden stools near the island. I found the urge to fight back my temptations at leaping on him. It wasn't the time to be this way especially after Micah. I sunk in my chair, my heart in my stomach just thinking about him. I pulled my cell phone from my pocket and opened the contacts. The last message sent to him was that I was sorry. He read it but left it open without a response. I want to make it right but there was no way he would be near me. I'm a piece of dog shit with a side of trash. I was now a cheater...what I hated most about people. And I'm sitting at my affair's home like it doesn't matter. "Malachi?"

"Yeah?" He responded as he was cutting up some carrots for his homemade chicken soup.

"Do you remember what I told you?"

"When?" He chuckled.

"When we first hung out and I said I liked you."

Malachi arched an eyebrow and tilted his head. "I do. What about it?"

"I still do.. like a lot and if we continue these acts...I want it to be with someone who likes me back."

"I understand." Malachi threw the ingredients in the soup and covered it with a lid before returning to the conversation.

"So do you like me?"

"I may."

I didn't know what to say as the same man who I fought to like me now thought it was a game. "Yes or no?"

Malachi shifted in his spot before walking up to me and placing a hand gently on my throat, slightly lifting me up. He pressed his lips barely on mine until he nipped at them.

"Want me to get on my knees for you?"

"What?" I was confused at his actions until Malachi knelt before me and had one hand with mine.

"Yes."
