The rest of the night we three drank two bottles of whiskey. Miles had waited for his mother to leave the house to go shopping before he gathered snacks and brought more into the gaming room. Micah and I sat at the bar with red faces. I was dizzy and beyond drunk. Drunk enough to make terrible decisions and regret it later.
Micah leaned in, close enough to make my skin flush redder than it already was. "Luca?"
I was about to speak when Miles approached us and wrapped his sweaty arms around our necks. His words slurred and became incoherent. Then was until he slumped to the floor and was out cold. Micah stepped down and we both helped him off the floor and into a chair so he was more comfortable. "He is a light weight for sure."
"Luca? What would you like to do?" Micah was standing offish, with one hand on his hip. I stared at him with droopy eyes and chewing on my bottom lip again nervously. Micah walked up and rubbed over my bloody lip with his thumb. "I made it clear to not do that to yourself. What's wrong?"
"I...I..want to talk to you but it's hard." I responded to him honestly. Micah patted a free seat on the couch and I sat beside him. The closeness we felt was so intense that you could read the room instantly. I brushed my hand just slightly over Micah's hand. "Micah, I'm sorry for what I did. How I cheated and used you....that's not what was suppose to happen. I'm such an idiot for falling for a piece of shit human and then choosing him over you.." Tears welled up in my eyes and my body felt heavy and unstable. Micah gripped my hand and sighed. "I understand Luca. I should've reacted better and given you time to explain but cheating in my book is nasty. A horrible thing to do to anyone."
"I know...it happened to me. It's no excuse." I told him. I was brutally honest with Micah in ways that I couldn't with Malachi.
"I want us to be okay Luca. I know it seems hard to do but let's build that trust between one another again." Micah pulled me into his lap and wrapped his arms around my body. It was comfortable and warm as I rested my head back. His lips brushing against my neck. It was enough to send me spiraling. "Micah we can't do this.."
"Who says we can't?"
He wasn't wrong in the slightest. We could do whatever with Miles' parents gone. Miles was out cold and they had the night to themselves. I smirked and turned to face him, straddling his lap. Micah placed his hands directly on my ass and squeezed just enough to tease me. Our lips pressed against each other once more and we let the night take as away.
The next morning was horrific. Our clothes were scattered on the floor and we only had a small blanket covering our naked bodies. Miles was snoring away in the chair, his body in a jigsaw shape. The only downside was Mike's little brother standing in the room with a video camera pointed directly at us. I woke up to the sound of giggling and my eyes widened to Ryan standing beside us. "Ryan?! Oh my God!!! Get out!"
My shouting woke everyone up and in a fit of panic, I struggled to keep the blanket on while trying to place my discarded clothes on. Micah groaned from the headache that surged through his head. He rubbed at his eyes and immediately chuckled when Ryan tossed his camera down and left to tattle on them. We hurried and started cleaning up the messes while Miles grumbled in his half sleep state. He threw up in a popcorn bucket and complained about his body rejecting himself. I helped him up from the chair and guided him to the nearest bathroom when his mom walked in with an obvious look on her face. She wasn't the one to yell or patronize people for their wrongdoings. She nodded her head and collected the bags of trash before taking them outside. Micah gathered his jacket and keys and offered me a ride to go eat. I made sure Miles was good before leaving. His mom guided him to his room with aspirin and a glass of water.
Micah and I got into his car and went to the nearest coffee shop. The sweet smells of coffee beans made the insane headache falter away. I slid into the booth and opened the menu. Micah sat across from me and ordered us some caramel iced coffee with a side of banana bread. The perfect snack and drink for the morning after makeup sex and a party. The sex was like a faded memory as it wasn't the normal intense activity. We enjoyed it just by slowly easing ourselves into it once more. Micah and I spent an hour at the shop just discussing our futures and sadly the past. "Would you possibly want to try again? Be partners?" Micah glanced from his cup and swallowed hard, trying not to cough. "It takes time Luca but I'm sure we will get there."
