The night dragged as I laid at the foot of the bed while Miles snored loudly. He was one hundred percent a mouth breather at night. It was obnoxiously loud and made it nearly impossible to sleep. We played video games the whole evening and even ordered pizza. His mother made sure we were both taken care of and offered me the spare bedroom if I changed my mind. I didn't want to overstay my welcome and I even called the school and had my classes back up as I needed to finish my courses. I had a laptop that Miles let me borrow where I could upload assignments and tests. I waited till Miles was asleep before actually doing work.

I had my phone plugged into the outlet. The little white light filled the screen as I turned my head to see it. I opened the screen and noticed it was a text from Malachi. I didn't have the nerve to answer back after reading the horrible message.

To Luca 3:43 A.M..
"If you ever dare come back begging for me again, I'll slam the door in your face. I helped you and this is what I get?! We were fine Luca and you go and pull stupid shit to make me upset. If you want a conversation about being a responsible person, I'm a call away. But from now on, you are on your own. I hope you find peace of mind."

I sighed in frustration. My body is over exhausted from lack of good sleep. I only managed maybe an hour before Miles's mom knocked on the door for us to get breakfast. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, stretching my arms. Miles groaned and threw a pillow at the door. "Five more minutes."

I chuckled and got up off the floor. My bag was slightly open and I grabbed a long sleeve shirt and black sweats. I had stepped into the bathroom and washed up before getting in fresh clothes. Miles was knocking on the door for me to open up, causing me to jump out of my skin. "I'm about done Miles!"

Once I finished, I opened the door and Miles rushed to go pee. I tossed my old clothes into my bag and walked downstairs to the kitchen. Kate was serving breakfast to his dad and his little sister Emily. I strolled in and took a seat at the table. Emily stuck her tongue out as he munched on her pancakes. I ignored her but offered a playful smile in between bites. She was around twelve years old and was the sassiest girl you would ever meet. She would pull pranks on us constantly with her friends. She grew up around me and miles so technically it was our fault. I finished up my plate and took it to the sink. Kate was washing some fruit; she handed me some pieces of apples. "Good morning, Luca. How are you doing?"

"I'm fine. Thank you for breakfast."

"Anytime dear."

I darted out the door immediately after Miles rushed down the stairs. He practically tripped over his own feet. He managed to smack his head on the floor and laughed about it. "Miles?! You okay dear?" Kate came to the sound of the noise and held Miles into her arms, babying the hell out of him. He shoved her off and nodded his head so she would back off. "I'm fine mom."

"Both you stay safe and come back home soon okay. I hear we have nasty storms coming this way."

"We will mom. Love you."

"Love you more."

Miles and I decided to go play basketball for a bit to get away from the drama. We walked to the nearby park and shot some hoops before it started sprinkling down on us. Miles grabbed his ball, and we went under the pavilion and waited till the rain died down a bit before heading back to his house. "So you are serious about Micah?"

"Yeah. I think I love the idea of a relationship with him more than Malachi. But how do I restart and fix everything?"

Miles set the ball down and hugged it between his feet as he faced me. "I think by starting off with a chat and figuring out what best suits you both."

"But I don't know what best suits us honestly. We kinda hit it off when I met him in the hospital but that's because he gave his number. We met again after I texted him. We got to know one another a bit and he even explored his sexuality to be with me."

"Then there ya go. What do you want Luca?"

I fidgeted with my thumbs before speaking. "I guess I want a real one on one relationship that involves sexual things you know?"

"Is sex what makes you go back to Malachi?"

I wasn't about to admit it but he was right. Sex was what bonded Malachi and I and it was wrong.

"I think it's best we just forget the sex. I just want Micah back. He stated he liked me still but he wants to try out this third person relationship. Malachi doesn't want that, he wants to fuck and pretend our feelings don't matter."

Miles listened to every word as he clicked his tongue. "I think it's best to figure out your own battles. You are worried constantly. You got kicked out of your home. You've been back and forth with places to stay and lost your car. Ended up in the hospital and go to school on a laptop dude. Focus on you for a bit man."

"You are right. I miss my family but I don't miss the mindless torture of pretending I'm not gay. They want me to follow their rules of life and dismiss my feelings. As for my car, it will be fixed soon and I'll have transportation. And I'm staying away from trouble so I don't end up in the hospital. I know what I want." I spoke back.

Miles smiled and patted my back.
"Then message Micah and get your boy back."
