Iman Harriott ~I opened the door, to Alistair with a bouquet of red roses in one hand and a grocery bag in the other. I didn't expect him to get me any flowers- I don't think he's ever gotten me flowers. Does this mean that he actually thinks of me more than just sex and feels the same way I do.
"You got me flowers?..."
"You don't sound impressed by that..." Alistair came to conclusion
"No, I am very impressed- very happy. I just never expected you to get me any" I admitted "they are very beautiful, thank you so much for these" I smiled, taking them from him, allowing him to step inside
Now I have to find a vase for these.
"Anything to see that beautiful smile of yours..." he looked up at me as he was taking his shoes off "...and that beautiful dress that I will be taking of later tonight..."
"Oh is that so..." I felt my cheeks go red
"Oh I know so..." Alistair stood up, retrieving his grocery bag with a lustful smirk on his face
"Well let's hurry up and cook so you can show me how badly you want this dress off"
"I want to savour you in it before I do that- slow your role you little horn dog"
"Horn dog-" I placed my hand on my hip sassily "-if I'm such a horn dog, what does that make you?"
"They say you are what you fuck, but I want to make love to you this time. I want you to not just enjoy me sexually, but I want you to feel me emotionally, passionately and spiritually. We have this night, just us two. No rush. We can do what ever we want to do with no interruptions..."
Maybe one might not hurt...
"Maybe we can skip dinner and get to that part now..."
"Exactly why I called you a horn dog-" he chuckled "- let's bring these into the kitchen and find a vase for you to put your flowers in" Alistair suggested
Flustered, but slowly coming back to reality, we arrived into the kitchen, as Alistair placed the shopping on the kitchen counter. I went through my cabinets, knowing damn well I had no empty vase lying about, especially for how big the bouquet was. I took out a large pot and filled it up with water to put the roses in.
"This is so ghetto, but this is all I've got" I found humour in what I was doing, placing the pot in the middle of the counter
"It's better than nothing-" Alistair placed the bouquet in the pot of water "- if I had known, I would've bought you a vase to go with it"
"I know...so...what's in the bag, since you're not gonna tell me out of the options I picked out, what you are cooking for me today" I placed one hand on the counter, looking into his eyes intriguingly
"Seafood Pasta..." he smiled
"So we have live lobsters in my house?..." I questioned, staring at the grocery bags that was placed on my counter
"With mussels & Clams- this was one of your options Iman, do not act surprised now"
"I'm not, cooking seafood live is hard you know, I thought you would've just gotten the frozen kind"
"Me get the frozen kind- what do I look like to you Harriott. Everything has to be fresh for me-"
"Did you pick out this recipe for me or yourself" I cut him off, becoming irritated with him a little
"For you Iman, but I'm just saying..." he held both his hands up in surrender "I couldn't quite care less if I was preparing this dish for myself, I want it to be perfect for a perfect person"
"Aw you're so cute" I cheesed at him, caressing the side of his face
"I was expecting a kiss but this works too"
"You greedy bastard- here" I pecked his lips
Once we were done being in each other's faces, we actually started to prepare and cook dinner. Alistair did not want me to lay a finger at all, but I wanted to cook with him. I found it fun, plus it gave me memories when I helped him cook that one meal (I think it was stuffed peppers), during uni. Yeah we've cooked on national television, but doing so with no one else around you but the two of you is more intimate and meaningful.
However I did not interfere as much when it came to putting the live crab in the boiling hot water. Knowing that creature could bite me at any second scared the hell out of me.
"Are you sure that you don't want to put the crab in?" Alistair teased me, knowing damn well I was not going through with that
"Hurry and pick it up, it's crawling!" I yelped, stepping back from the crawling crab
The bastard had the audacity to pick it up with the tongs and scare me with it by putting it close to my face. He's so lucky that I didn't use my hand to dash it away from me with force.
***
"This is so good" I consumed the meal with joy
No really it's really good and I know they say English people can't cook but boy did Alistair put his back into this. It really got me thinking how he ever learned to get better at his cooking. It wasn't that fact he couldn't cook, but he just wasn't that great- like he needed a lot of guidance. But then again being 18 and cooking compared to being 31 and cooking is completely different.
"Thank you" he smiled, while taking a bite out of his meal
"So are you going to be cooking breakfast for me tomorrow as well?" I questioned him
"It depends...it depends what time we wake up. I don't want her to start speculating as yet..."
"Right" I forced a smile, remembering once again this is not a forever thing
He lied to his wife about coming here- he can't possibly stay here for that long. I wish it was like this forever.
"Iman-" Alistair stretched his arm out to touch to brace my wrist "- Does it make you feel uncomfortable when I bring her up at times?"
"No, what makes you think that?" I lied
"Your energy, it shifted. It happened on holiday. If she ever makes you feel uncomfortable just tell me, I will stop mentioning her"
Alana doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. I'm jealous in fact because I am the other woman. I wished I was his only one. Whenever Alana is brought up by him, it's because I go back to reality and exit my delusions.
"It doesn't- now let's stop worrying about something not important before the food gets cold"
