Iman Harriott ~

They had finished doing surgery in the hospital room Amaya had remained in. They had let me know that Amaya was awake and recovering and I'd be able to visit her. They did let me know on the surgeries she had to undergo and what injuries she had suffered, which was a broken rib, bruising to parts of her body such as her head, face and chest. She had multiple cuts that were deep that needed to be stitched. They stated that if they had caused more damage to her head, she would've suffered from a fractured skull. Like were they trying to plummet her head into the ground. It was just getting worse each time the doctor explained her injuries to me.

I just cannot believe four men like that can do such a thing. They are literal monsters and shouldn't even exist. And that Villers bastard is going to hear from me. Maybe not physically or I'll get myself in trouble, but I am coming for him so hard he's going to wish he never met me at all.

I messaged Alistair, to let him know that Amaya was awake and recovering. I was going to message him about how I was doing, but it's not about me right now. I'm not the one in the hospital bed. It's Amaya, my time and energy needs to be focused on her.

I entered into her room, as she let out a melancholy smile on her face. Amaya didn't look as bad as she looked when she came into the hospital. They recovered her very well. She had a bandage that was wrapped around her head and a few stitches which remained on her face and neck.

"How are you doing?" I asked her in a hushed tone

"I'm doing fine" Amaya's eyes got glossier

"What's wrong?" I reached to the left side of her bed

"You came with me?" She turned her a neck a little bit

"Of course I would, why wouldn't I?"

"I never expected anyone to show up for me. I was shocked when they told me that I had a visitor and it was you. You're probably the reason why I had the willpower to even wake up"

I grabbed her left hand to hold in a gentle manner "Amaya, you have been nothing but grateful to me. The least I can do is to be grateful back. I will never let you suffer alone. And I am not the reason why you had the willpower to wake up. Your body knew you still have unfinished business. You have so much goodness coming for you. You may not see it right now, but good things are on your way"

"I hope so, because it's starting to feel like I should've kept my mouth shut" Amaya groaned

"I don't know if it's the drugs that they put in you that's making you talk like that, but you did the right thing speaking up-"

"Hmm it could be- let's see if I still think the same when I am less doped up" Amaya giggled a little bit

"Girl it's definitely the drugs, the minute they wear of, you'll start planning your villain arc" I joked

"You are absolutely right, I've come too far to keep quiet now...however I think I need to lay low a little bit. I don't know if I'll get attacked again"

"Amaya..."

"Yes..."

"Do you think your attack has anything to do with Harry?" I asked her

Amaya looked at me, with no expression, then blanked out for a couple of seconds before giving me an answer "Maybe- do you think that?"

"I strongly believe so, but if that is the case, we can't say anything until we have physical proof that he orchestrated it"

"As it was an attack, they told me that the police would arrive in morning for questioning..."

"How early is that, I can take a shower and come back-"

"Iman don't you have work?" Amaya cut me off

"Shit I forgot about that..." I instantly remembered "...hmm I'll just let them know I couldn't come because of an emergency- what?" I looked at Amaya puzzlingly, as she chuckled

"I am very glad that you came to see me..." Amaya leaned over a bit in her bed to place her other hand on top of mine "...but I will not have you miss work over me. I don't want you to spend your time worrying over me. I am going to be okay. Plus they will let you know when I can be discharged from hospital and you can come and see me then..."

"Hmm I suppose I can do that, but if I do, you'd have to stay at mine for a while. Only until these foolish idiots leave you alone..." I tried to make a deal with her

"Oh I couldn't impose-"

"No you should impose- for your safety and also it's getting lonely in my home..."

I'm far from lonely in my home. Alistair breaks my back whenever he can, but in all serious I need a friend. Mariah, Dimitri and the others are all wrapped up in their new families. It's kind of hard to contact them nowadays. I don't want to feel like a burden with all of my problems. I don't know if it is a trauma bonding situation I have going on, when it comes to Amaya- reasons why I want her to be close to me in some sort of way. I may need to bring that up with Dr Rashid next week to confirm this. I mean whether or not it's a trauma thing, I really do like Amaya and I hope we can develop a friendship of some sort.

"If that will get you to go to work, then that means I have a new roommate for a couple of days..."

"Yay!" I was about to hug her but quickly reminded myself that she is recovering from her injuries
