Iman Harriott ~

I woke up from yesterday's celebration, feeling drowsy which is not normally like me on an early Monday morning. I'm usually alert, well rested- I even wake up a few minutes early before my alarm, but today...I'm feeling tired as hell.

The tiredness is worth it though. I'm just so happy for Mariah and Hugo- it'll be two months till Mariah pops her little bundle of joy of her baby girl.

After the reveal, the girls and I spent a couple of minutes giving Mariah suggestions on the name she'll give her daughter. Mariah wasn't hearing any of it- even though she was gracious to consider our suggestions, the way she kept on saying "Stella"- yeah for sure that'll be the baby's name.

I was soon conflicted by my thoughts as my phone buzzed on the nightstand a couple of times. I picked up my phone and it was a couple of messages from Alex, confirming with me that he won't be coming into work for the next two weeks.

"Covid?" I blurted out

I forget that virus is still about. It's been a long time since I've heard anyone being diagnosed with it, like I hear it, but it's not that many cases.

That dampened my mood, because I've never done The Iman and Alex show, without Alex before. Like I've had a talk show of my own before, but it's not the same feeling, as going to work everyday and being excited to work alongside with your favourite person.

Overall I just hope these two weeks don't kill him or have him stressed out and I wish nothing but a good but a speedy recovery.

I finished messaging Alex, wishing him a very good recovery and letting him know that I'll call him some time during the week when his symptoms go down.

I had to be at work by 8am, so I had to be up by 6am, in order to get to work on time. That has literally been my life for the past year and a half, but I'd never complain about it. I can get the rest of the afternoon, evening and night, plus the weekend, after filming on set.

I came into the studio, being greeted by my production team, but also a covid test, as I grabbed my coffee of the day. Actually this coffee, was for my intern Mel, who has been working by my side for nearly two months now. Mel always gets me coffee, especially my favourite strawberry and oats latte. It is apart of her job, but at the same time she's a human being and Mel has been nothing but a pleasure to work it.

It's shameful, I should've done this a long time ago for her.

"Good morning Iman" I saw Melanie approaching me with a smile on her face

"Good morning to you too Mel-" I responded back "- Here is your coffee for today. Your favourite: pistachio flavour with cream on top" I handed Mel her coffee

"That was really kind of you- thank you Iman. How did you know this was my favourite?" We swapped coffees, as Mel took a sip of hers

"I'm a very attentive listener..." I chuckled

"Thank you so much though" Mel thanked once again

"It's alright" I replied, now taking a sip of my latte

"Oh also, here's your rundown of what will be happening on the show today" Mel passed the sheet to me as I thanked her

"Hmm..." I hummed to myself, looking at this script for today's show

Hmm, today seems very calm today.

"Anything interesting on today shows, Iman?" Melanie asked

"I'd say it's a very calm day. I've got trending topics, which circulates around the royal family and Diddy- I'll be very interested to put my two pence into those..." I rambled on
