Now before you start reading, I have decided to make my chapters longer.
I am very sorry if this book fills really long winded, but I really wanted to do my best with this book.
I am also sorry for any spelling mistakes as I haven't had time to proofread as I have been very busy.
I hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll update again in 2-3 weeks from now🥹
Iman Harriott ~
We had finally arrived in Hawaii. A bed, any bed was calling our names. By the second flight, Alistair and I were so irritated. Only because we became so comfortable on the first flight and the struggle to get that comfort again was painfully exhausting.
The journey from the airport to our villa was also a drive too, but it was best in our interest, as we wanted the trip to be private and peaceful. Talking about peaceful, Alistair looked absolutely At peace with himself, lost in his sleep as his head rested on my shoulder. I couldn't help myself but smile at how adorable he looked. He'd absolutely cuss me out if I found him adorable.
Alistair in his vulnerable state, sound asleep was my peace. I didn't need to fall asleep. I could watch him in his sleepless solitude forever, like he would with me. With the little time we got to see each other the last month, since he's been dealing with the process of his divorce, I know he has been restless. Alistair tell me of the divorce his draining him out. He seems to put on a protective front around me, as my happiness is his priority. However I want him to know it's okay to feel stressed or to spiral, as he has allowed me to.
We had reached to our villa. I had nudged Alistair gently to wake him up. He looked as confused as ever, as I watched and laughed at his cute reaction to him adjusting to his surroundings.
"Baby we're here..." I told him
"Fuck my head hurts" he rise from my shoulder, adjusting his eyes to his surroundings
"It's probably the way you slept, you were practically using my shoulder as a pillow" I told him
"How long was I asleep for?" Alistair asked me
"The minute we stepped foot in the vehicle, you conked the fuck out" I laughed
"I don't understand how you have so much energy" Alistair looked at me with awe, cracking a smile
"Don't get it twisted now, the minute my head hits the pillows, I'm out like a light" I told him
"Hmm let's get out of here, we have an excursion first thing in the morning tomorrow..." my eyes widened in shock at the crazed way of Alistair's planning
I eyed the half awake man, as he took his suit belt off, reaching his hand out of his side of the car to come out. I waited for him to go over to my side, opening the car door for me "Alistair why would you book an excursion in the morning, we're going to be so fucking jet lagged" I got out of the car
"Why not" Alistair shrugged his shoulders, seeing nothing wrong with what he had done
"We're going to be here for a whole month, you didn't need to book an excursion so close to our arrival date. I wanted us to have time together, become familiar with our new home" I placed my hands on his chest
"And that is why I booked it all or we would not be living together our fullest..."
I cocked my brow "and what is that supposed to mean Alistair?"
"Look we're both tired and irritated, I do not want to argue with you, at least you know now so we can be fully rested" the tiredness in Alistair's eyes were prevalent, as he lightly pleaded that the two of us be peaceful with one another
