Unfortunately, Ron became quite aggressive the next few days. He had found Ginny kissing with Dean. Everyone knew they were going out, so I didn't see the big problem, but Ron totally didn't accept it. Now Ginny and Ron weren't talking to each other.
Sofia flew in and out, glad to be free again. I was happy that I had done something good, and made someone happy, which didn't happen often. It did make me sad, though. Sofia taught me a few healing spells, and told me where to look for more recipes for healing potions. But she couldn't stay forever, and I knew that. It was just, I would also lose my owl, since she wasn't a real one."Good luck, with everything," I smiled to her, holding my tears back.
"Thank you," Sofia smiled. "And thank you, again, for freeing me, and looking after me, you know, before."
I chuckled wryly.
"You've been very kind to me, Jynx, and I am glad you are my friend. Perhaps, we'll see each other again, someday."
She wrapped her arms around me.
"Goodbye, Jynx Black."
I didn't say anything, scared I would cry.
She let go of me, and I whispered: "Bye," so soft I almost couldn't hear it. She smiled once more, turned into the brown owl I'd had since I was eleven, and disappeared beyond the horizon.~
I hadn't watched any Quidditch practice, because there was barely anyone was left I knew. Fred and George had been replaced by Beaters I didn't know, and Angelina and Alicia were both gone too. Ron was still Keeper, trying his best, but it was his nerves that made him fail constantly. Ginny had become Chaser, and a rather good one, as I heard.
The first offical match was today, but Ron was really down, and all of us were a bit nervous that he would let everything in again. At breakfast, Harry acted a bit suspicious.
"Don't drink that, Ron," Hermione said warningly.
"Why not?"
"You just put something in his drink," she said to Harry.
"No, I didn't."
"Yeah, you did, you put that bottle away just now."
I saw Harry stuff something hastily away. Was he lying? He was definitely not poisoning Ron, so what was it?
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Ron, I'm serious, don't drink it," Hermione said, but Ron drank it all at once.
"Stop bossing me around."The weather for Quidditch was amazing, but actually I wasn't in the mood to watch, but I came anyway. Hermione was still mad, and told me that she was convinced Harry had put liquid luck in his pumpkin juice.
"Slughorn told us we could only use it on regular days," she said, frowning as they rose up in the air, ready to play.
"It can only be better for Ron," I shrugged. "Everyone would bully him again if he lets to many Quaffles in."I started to believe that Harry had put Felix Felicis in Ron's drink, because he saved every goal with ease. Gryffindor also scored a good few times. Malfoy wasn't present, and someone else had replaced him as Slytherin's Seeker. The crowd started chanting 'Weasley is our king', again, and that gave Ron apparently more confidence.
Zacharias Smith was doing the commentary, since Lee Jordan had also left school last year. He wasn't as fun as Lee, of course, and actually a bit rude. It sometimes surprised me how he was in Hufflepuff and not Slytherin, seeing his attitude most of the time.
Anyway, Harper, the Slytherin Seeker, and Harry had nothing seen the Snitch, and somehow Harper had caught it, but let it go again, accidentally. Harry grabbed it, and we won.Hermione was not at the party in the common room, and I went up to Harry to ask what happened.
"I didn't actually put the liquid luck in his drink," Harry said. "I just needed to make him feel lucky. I told them both. But then Ron said something again, and Hermione just stormed off."
"What is up with those two?" I sighed. Harry said nothing and looked away. He knew something.
"What is it?" I demanded.
"Nothing, it's nothing."
I raised my eyebrows and gave him the 'yeah, sure' look."Okay, fine. It's not even a big deal, I don't get why Ron has to get upset about it. Apparently, Ginny told us, Hermione has snogged Krum in our fourth year."
"Yeah, well, they were sort of going out," I said, not being very surprised.
"Hm," Harry said. "I'm going to find Ron."
"He's over there, the filthy hypocrite," Ginny said, suddenly being behind us. I raised my eyebrows at the sight. In a corner of the room, Ron and Lavender were standing closely wrapped around each other, kissing.
