Chapter 6: The Deathly Hallows

Mr and mrs Weasley waited for us when we walked through the barrier, and mrs Weasley hugged us until I felt like I couldn't breathe anymore, got sort of mad that our faces looked the way they did, but was glad that we were all alive and well. We told her we would tell them what we had been up to when we got home, but when we sat in the back of the car, I muttered to the others that we couldn't tell too much. They were still being watched, and what if Neville and I made them look more suspicious, and they would question them, or torture them for information? We knew a lot of things, but couldn't tell them to everyone.

The Burrow was calmer than it had ever been, since there were no Harry, Hermione or Ron, Bill and Fleur had moved into their new house and Remus and Tonks had their own home of course, and I heard that Tonks was pregnant. The rest of the Order was busy with things on their own, so it was just the twins, Ginny, Neville and me.

"Have you checked into Potterwatch yet?" George asked us one evening. "It's quite cool."
"No," Ginny said. "What is it?"
"It's a programme, on the radio, which tells true things about the current situation of the Wizarding World. And guess what? We're in it."
"Cool!" I said.
"You do need a password, though, to ensure safety, because it wouldn't be funny if You-Know-Who found out about it," Fred added.

Even though everything felt weird, we enjoyed our holiday, and had a good Christmas. Still, I longed for the Christmas of two years ago, where we were at Grimmauld Place, with Sirius. It seemed such a long time ago...

After Christmas, Neville woke me up in the middle of the night.
Silently, he took me out of the room, without waking Ginny, and to his room. He slept in Bill's room, since there was still a ghoul sleeping in Ron's bed.
"They called," Neville said, taking his wand. "But I told them to be silent and wait for you. Speculum. You can call us now, Jynx is here."
Soon enough, Ron's face came onto the screen.
"He's back!" I whispered.

"I'm back," Ron said silently. You might have heard... you know. Anyway, let me fill you in on what happened in the meanwhile. We're all okay, by the way. If Hermione and Harry didn't already tell you, they went to Godric's Hollow, thought they found Bathilda Bagshot, who used to live there, and knew Dumbledore, but it turned out, she was already dead, and Nagini, You-Know-Who's snake, had taken control of her body or something. Skipping a few days, Harry saw a Patronus of... someone, it was a doe, don't know if that means anything to you? Point is, he found the real sword of Gryffindor, and we destroyed the locket-"
"Ron destroyed the locket," I heard from somewhere behind him.
"Shut up, Harry," Ron whispered.
"Nice," Neville grinned.
Ron continued. "So only three to go now, but Hermione found something in that book Dumbledore had given her, which we recognised from earlier. Xenophilius, Luna's father, wore a necklace with this sign." He held up a page of Hermione's book, which showed something that looked like a triangular eye.
"Hermione thought it might be important, so we visited Xeno, who lives close to where you guys are now." He sighed. "We were so close and still..."
I understood how he felt. Not being able to visit while he literally could have seen us.

"He told us a bit about the Tale of the Three Brothers, don't know if you're familiar with that, but according to Xeno it's indirectly about the Deathly Hallows, three objects that can make you inevitably. The Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak."
"Invisibility Cloak?" Neville whispered. "Hasn't Harry got one of those?"
As if Ron could hear us, he said: "Yes, Harry has the Cloak, but-" and he lowered his voice- "Hermione thinks it's all nonsense, while Harry's completely convinced that it could help defeat You-Know-Who, next to destroying the Horcruxes. I don't know, honestly, there no proof, but there's also no proof that it's fake. Harry has the Cloak, so why can't the other two exist, right? Anyway, we thought we might see Luna, but she wasn't home. Due to everything Xeno had written in the Quibbler, the Death Eaters had captured her to make old Xeno hand over Harry. So they came, and we fled, again. The stupid git thought we'd just hand Harry over to him. Hope Luna's okay, though."
