Sarah and Fred had breakfast at the Burrow and then departed for their own house. George and Capri, despite his injury, were doing the same. Floo travel had officially been banned for Order members at Mad-eye's request, and so they were back to Apparating. Getting Wisteria Cottage disconnected from the Floo was on her to-do list, as it really did weaken their Fidelius Charm.
"It's just too crowded there," Capri sighed, as the group walked to the apparition point at the edge of the Burrow's property, "Besides, it'll be better for George to heal at home in the comfort of his own bed, rather than on the sofa."
"I'll have you know that sofa is lovely," George responded teasingly.
He had a bandage wrapped around his head like a bandana, one that needed changing regularly to prevent infection. Mrs. Weasley had just about let him leave, but Capri promised to keep a watchful eye on him.
"Yeah, it was," Capri retorted, "Before you bled all over it."
The group chuckled and came to a stop having reached the front gate.
"See you two at the shop?" George asked, reached for Capri's hand. Capri had her wand out, ready for side-along apparition.
"Not a chance," Fred said, "Take it easy, will you? At least for a day. You nearly died last night."
"What's life without a little risk - " George began dreamily.
"George!" Capri said sternly, "Fred's right, you know."
George sighed, his shoulders slumping, "Alright, alright, but if I go mad, I'll be blaming all of you."
"It's one day," Sarah pointed out with a grin, "If you go mad from one day of resting, that's on you."
"See you guys later," Capri said.
Turning on the spot, the pair disappeared with a crack.
The area around the Burrow was quiet, but Sarah was still in a rush to leave. She didn't feel secure outside the safe houses anymore.
"Let's not linger," Sarah grasped Fred's hand.
"Agreed."
With her wand out, Sarah turned on the spot. After a moment of travelling through the endless vacuum of apparition, Fred and Sarah landed at the gate of Wisteria Cottage.
"It's good to be home," Fred said as the pair began to walk up the path to the house with their bags in hand, "Was it just me or was that bed oddly lumpy?"
"Fred, darling, it was your bed when you lived there," Sarah told him, amused, "You can only blame any lumpiness on yourself."
"Yeah, but did you feel it?"
"A little, I suppose."
"And you didn't say anything?" Fred asked, "What sort of boyfriend am I, leaving my girl in discomfort?"
Sarah laughed, "It really wasn't that bad."
"You're joking, aren't you?" Fred twisted his arm to press his palm into his back, "I can still feel the indents!"
Sarah laughed, swinging her duffle bag higher on her shoulder, "You know, Fred, you really have a flair for the dramatics."
"Dramatic? Me?" Fred stabbed a finger into his chest, "You'll see when we go back in a few days for Harry's birthday. I'll make you sleep on my side of the - "
Fred cut himself off, his eyes focusing on something over her shoulder. Sarah turned to see what he was looking at and found herself staring at the apple tree.
