Alright guys it's about that time and today's question of the day is: Which DC Cinematic Universe do you prefer? Arrowverse of DC Extended Universe?

I asked this question on my conversation post and so far some people had a mix of both.

For me honestly I have to go with the Arrowverse and here's why.

Now at the start of the DCEU sounded promising I mean Man of Steel was fire and in my opinion the best Superman movie (although that might change with James Gunn's Superman movie) and this is an unpopular opinion but I liked Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, I also loved Wonder Woman, I think Aquaman was okay, same with The Suicide Squad (2021) and Shazam. However things went downhill after Justice League in 2017 or should I say Josstice League. Due to Warner Bros trying to compete with the MCU after some of the negative reception in Batman V Superman, they decided to cut ties with Zack Synder and go a different route to compete with Marvel. As a result they ended up making things worse and this is where the downfall of the DCEU began. Several movies were cancelled and the movies they did put out were either mid or flat out trash. They hyped up The Flash to be one of the best comic book movies in all time only for it to turn out to be the opposite and don't get me started on Black Adam. Even after they released Zack Synder's cut of the Justice League which turned out to be absolute fire, Warner Bros decided NOT to continue it. People say Warner is allergic to money and I would argue that's true as far back as 2016 to 2017. There was no buildup, no direction, and no interesting storylines in this universe all because they rushed to compete with Marvel. The DCEU fell off so bad they literally had to reboot the entire franchise from scratch.

This was not the case with Arrowverse. Arrowverse without even trying managed a collective universe with actual connections on the small screen. They literally turned Green Arrow a B tier character into the face of the entire franchise with awesome storytelling great fights and the choreography fight scenes. Of course you have shows like The Flash who introduced the multiverse concept and we also have shows like Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Black Lightning. On top of that this universe actually has direction and build up to the ultimate crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. My favorites are Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl they were totally my favorites. Black Lightning and Legends of Tomorrow was actually pretty cool. However I did have some problems with the Arrowverse mostly it was after Crisis where they truly started to fall off. I didn't like Arrow season 4 but that was pretty much the only bad season on Arrow. Flash was great especially seasons 1-5 but after seasons 6 it started to fall off, same with Supergirl seasons 1-4 wasn't bad but the last 2 seasons were pretty mid. Black Lightning seasons 1-3 had some great storytelling but it became a massive chore to watch in the final season. Legends of Tomorrow was mostly a mess especially after season 4. Of course we have other problems, Batwoman was so ass, we also have the issue of many series finales ending with a sour taste in people's mouths and of course you also have the issue with the woke agenda, but during the Crisis saga, Arrowverse was fucking fire man, Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, and Melissa Benoist were the best actors in the entire Arrowverse. I don't really count shows like Superman & Lois since it had no connections to the Arrowverse. Overall before it was trash the Arrowverse was pretty great, they were literally the MCU accept on the small screen.

Yeah say what you will about the Arrowverse but at least they actually had direction, storytelling, and expansion unlike the DCEU and competed with the MCU without even trying. In other words the Arrowverse was awesome until it became trash, but the DCEU quite literally was trash from the start so yeah I'd definitely prefer the Arrowverse.

But let me know what you think in the comments.
