So Death Battle announced that the next Death Battle after Sentry VS Superboy-Prime was Aang VS Traveler. And honestly it's not close and here's why.

First off let's start with speed. Aang's greatest speed feat was redirecting Ozai's lightning.
Lightning usually moves at speeds of 220,000 miles per hour or Mach 286. We can take this a step further and compare him to Iroh who redirected a return stroke from the sky.
Lightning from the sky usually moves at 220,000,000 miles per hour of Mach 286,731. That's great and all but Traveler once helped created a forcefield to reflect a light beam from a cannon.

We can tell it's light speed because not only was it described as a beam of light but light beam itself reflected off of the lasers like a light laser.

Meaning it moves at light speed which is 670,616,629 miles per hour or Mach 874,030. That's over 3,056 times faster than Aang redirecting lighting from Ozai. Even if we compare Aang to Iroh redirecting the return stroke, Traveler is still 3 times faster and that's not even counting Anemo which can increase Traveler's speed to make him even faster than his base speed. Traveler takes the edge in speed so no amount of Seismic Sense or anything is helping Aang react fast enough to catch Traveler. He's getting blitzed hard.
Aang is also outclassed in raw power too. Not only is he severely outclassed in base but in the Avatar State as well. Now obviously we see Aang in the Avatar State perform city level feats but he also has knowledge and powers and experience of every past Avatar meaning he scales to Kyoshi who tore apart land to create land.
If we're to use Death Battle's previous logic like in Korra VS Storm (although there is a chance they could update it) That means Aang has an energy worth of 21 gigatons of TNT. There's also that one Avatar that caused 4 volcanic eruptions that are also calculated at the gigatons range. Impressive but Traveler has fought alongside Archons like Venti and defeated Archons like Raiden Shogun. Not only did Shogun just casually slice islands like it's nothing but it was said that Venti was able to down the mountains that once were in Mondstandt.

But it's is also implied that both Pilos Peak and the rest of the mountains were thrown into the sea, creating what is now Musk Reef.

Judging by the calculations I found and given its size the energy would produce about 25 teratons of TNT. That's over 1207 times more powerful than Kyoshi's feat and way above anything Aang and other Avatars can do. There is no reality where Aang in the Avatar State is doing any damage to Traveler let alone overpower him. Even if you try to get Aang around moon level to planet level, not has Traveler fought dragons like Dvalin who can create planetary storm and comparable to characters who can move moons casually but Raiden Shogun is stated to manipulate stars.

The power gap is simply too big for Aang to handle. The only advantage Aang has is better control over the elements but even that's debatable since Traveler not only has more elements but they also have items that give them resistances and it's a lot more magic based so even Energybending might not work on Traveler even if it could, Traveler's speed makes taking powers away easier said than done and Traveler also absorb energy as well. Traveler's putting bet to ass on Aang and it's not close. Edward Elric can rest easy knowing he's avenged.
But y'all let me know who you think wins in the comments.
