"Okay so why do I have to be blindfolded?" I asked loudly in the truck.

It had been a couple of days since the incident in town and things seemed to calm down. Well slightly.

People were still kind of freaked out over what they had seen, but the government was quick to step in and offer money for their silence. Stupid people if you ask me. But hey, there ain't a lot of bright ones out there these days.

I was currently in the altmode of Ironhide with uncle Will. They were taking me to the base to meet the rest of the Autobots. I guess since I was in the town when it happened, they thought I was now 'ready' to meet them.

"Because we had to move bases and no one but the N.E.S.T soldiers and government officials know where it is." Will said with sass in his voice.

I hummed at his response. Well fuck this I ain't sitting here blindfolded anymore.

I reached up with my hands and ripped it off.

"Laura! Common! Can you just listen to me just once." Will said exasperated while throwing his hands in the air and facing forwards again.

The truck rumbled as Ron chuckled and the rev of the Lamborghini and Corvette outside could be heard too.

"I do listen to you uncle, when it's important. This is just stupid." I said tossing the blindfold in the seat beside me.

"Yea I know it is...just thought it would last longer than two minutes." He grumbled out resting his head against his hand which was propped up on the passenger door.

My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I pulled it out to see a notification from Sides. I smiled as I sent something cheeky back along with a dirty thought and put it back in my jeans pocket.

The corvette swerved off the road and sprayed up gravel before correcting itself on the highway and I burst out laughing.

"What was that about?" Will asked looking out the mirror and then turning in his seat to look out the back window.

When his eyes then landed on me he narrowed them.

I coughed and dropped my eyes from him looking out the window and composing myself.

"What was that about Laura?" He questioned, un clicking his seatbelt and turning completely to face me now.

Oh great.

I cleared my throat and looked up at him before my eyes trailed over to meet Ron's in the rearview mirror. I sent him a help look and he sighed.

"You're lucky I like you kid." Ron grumbled before tapping his breaks lightly sending Will sliding down his seat and hitting the front dash.

"Ron! What the hell was that?!" Will shouted as he scrambled up to his seat and turned to face the man.

"You took your seatbelt off. That's against human law." Ron simply answered while shrugging his shoulders.

I started to snicker but quickly stopped as my own seatbelt tightened in a warning.

I sent him a grateful look in the mirror and he simply nodded.

"Now put it back on before I actually test my breaking ability." He said.

After a couple more minutes of dead silent driving, we pulled onto a back road surrounded by tall trees.

The sound of military planes had me looking up to the sky and watching as they descended to the ground below the tree line and out of sight.

As I faced forwards again we were coming up to a gate with men posted at it.
