° Tsukasa leaves Amane alone to fend for himself... He doesn't exactly have to fend for himself.

Some days, Amane opened his eyes in the morning and just knew something bad was going to happen. Mind you, his intuition wasn't faultless, and knowing something bad is going to happen doesn't necessarily mean you can prevent it. Sometimes it served as a small mercy, but for the most part, all it did was worsen his already-present anxiety, bringing on headaches and occasionally nausea, which certainly did not help when he eventually had to deal with whatever his nerves were warning him about.
They'd caught him on his way home. He was already running late, and knew his mom would be worried sick, so he wasn't paying enough attention. After Tsukasa had dirtied part of his shirt-and part of his arm-during gym class, Amane had been forced to take a shower to get the smeared dirt off his skin. He'd also had to scrounge around in his locker for his uniform jacket to cover up the mild scratches so his mom wouldn't see them when he got home-it was summer, and the jacket was unbearably hot, but Amane didn't have it in him to lie to her about his injuries for the fourth time that week.
Unfortunately, all the extra time he'd spent cleaning up after school forced him to walk home a lot later than usual, and three delinquent kids-upperclassmen-had changed their normal squatting spot, and Amane had managed to walk right by it. They'd snatched him up in a heartbeat and dragged him with them to the gym storage shed outside the back of the school. He'd been thrown to the ground, and he vividly remembered the sinking feeling in his stomach as he watched the last sliver of outside light thin and disappear.
"Look at it," Delinquent One jeered, "so scrawny" He nudged one of Amane's legs with his foot.
Amane grit his teeth and kept his head down. He was smart; he knew how badly this could go for him. His thoughts went to his mom, and he ran through his apologies to her in his head as the vultures circled him. Delinquent Two picked up a lacrosse stick, and proceeded to poke Amane in the eye with it. Amane, despite himself, yelped and flinched away, cradling his face. He wasn't sure if he should say something, if he could somehow convince them to leave him alone, but he figured anything he'd say would end up backfiring. So he kept his head down and waited. Better to try and figure out their game before coming up with a strategy to escape or end it.
"You're completely helpless without that little psychopath of a brother, huh?"
The three bully's laughed. Amane thought they sounded like loud, obnoxious hyenas toying with their food.
"Don't talk about Tsukasa-"
"He left you, kid. He went home knowing you were still here. Why would you defend someone who obviously doesn't care if you live or die?" The pink-haired boy smirked.
Delinquent Two jabbed Amane in the arm. "do you even want to live?"
Indignation flared in Amane's chest. "I'm... going to be an astronaut," he stated coldly, glaring up at them.
The hyenas howled, cackling with hideous laughter. Amane refused to shrink into himself in front of them. He'd been the butt of hundreds of jokes in his short lifetime, and this was the greatest and most common of them all, the one that drew the biggest laughs, and Amane was goddamn sick and tired of it. They'd have to do worse than that if they wanted to get a reaction out of him.
