Nefeli's Pov

I stayed inside my room for days because I'm not feeling well. And today is the day I just got better. I am having a breakfast with my brothers when their topic went on about the burial of a Marques's daughter.

"We're going to the funeral tonight?" Kuya Crius asked.

"Yes. And father will be going too," Kuya Ciel replied.

Napantig ang tainga ko nang marinig na nasali sa usapan nila si ama. Kaya hindi ko napigilan ang sariling makisali sa usapan.

"When did father started to care for other nobles' funeral?" I questioned.

"Nefeli.." Napanguso ako nang sambitin ni kuya Crius ang pangalan ko. Na siyang ginagawa niya lamang kapag sinusuway niya ako.

"Father just want to pay a respect to the Ikendian family by coming there as a complete family," pahayag naman ni kuya Ciel.

"Complete family? You expect me to come to the place where I'm about to die?" Those words came out sourly.

"If you won't come.. the blame will come at you, Nefeli. And father don't want that to happen," kuya Ciel pointed out. Making me lift a brow.

"How in the world will the blame be on me? I never have any interaction with that girl. I don't even know her.." I complained and raise my fork with meat and dump it on my mouth.

"You don't? Really?" Kuya Crius challenge me. Eyeing me with suspension on his eyes.

"And what if I do. How will it make sense? Para namang kaya kong humawak ng mga matatalim na bagay para lang pumatay ng inosenteng tao?" I look all of them. But when I stopped to look at the Duke, his jaw tightened.

"That.. make sense." Anteros slowly nodded his head in agreement and went back on his food.

"Enough with this nonsense. Let's just continue eating, shall we?" Kuya Ciel said. And so our breakfast session went silent after that.

And when it ended kuya Crius goes back to the imperial palace with Anteros. Leaving me with kuya Ciel.

Nagtangka pa akong tumakas at tumambay na lang sana sa guild nang ipatawag ako ng Duke sa opisina niya.

Hahatulan na yata ako.

"Have a sit." I did what I'm told. I sat on the sofa across where he's sitting on.

None of us start saying anything. And it's not me who should do the talking to begin with. I don't even know why I am here. So I sat there silently. Listening to the ticks of the clock. Until the Duke decided to speak.

"I know what you're doing behind my back, Nefeli," he started. He's watching me with his intimidating look.

Sinalubong ko ang mga titig niya. I tilted my head and watches him back. Analyzing his face.

"Don't you want to explain to me what is that guild all about?" He inquired. Eyes darkly fixed on me.

He already knew what and how my guild works. And still asked. Brother do you wanna play mind games with me?

I mentally grin.

"Hindi mo na sinagad ang pag-imbestiga nang hindi ka na nagtatanong ngayon niyan sakin," sambit ko. Umayos ako ng upo. "Do you really want to know brother?" I stared at him. Coldness began to spread on the air. But my brother didn't falter. He remains compose and serious. He knows I couldn't harm him.

"Tell me what's your purpose for founding that guild Nefeli.."

"To kill." I replied without suspense. My mouth curved into a cryptic smile.
